Great for sharpening garden tools

I bought this to sharpen a range of garden tools - shears, secateurs, lawn edge trimmer - but found it difficult to sharpen more than the ends of the blades due to the design and the fact that several tools didn't open wide enough. I couldn't sharpen the secateurs at all. It is possibly OK for knives or scissors, but I have now ordered a sharpening stone for the other tools and hope I have more success.

Simple to use and does work extremely well

Bought this to sharpen the blades on my lawn mower and it does. My last blade sharpener lasted 10 years before it fell to pieces, if this one lasts as long, result!

Good quality and value for money

Not opened yet. Can't read instructions due to lable stuck on back of item. Not helpful. as not sure if I should return it?

Doesn’t sharpen mower blades as well as I was led to believe. Works fine on scissors, knives and garden shears.
