the flash is pretty powerful n wish it had lower power setting. even the lowest setting can flatten the image especially while using close up lens . probably u can use it as a portrait flash if u know what u r doing . n one warning is that dont choose this flash if ur lens has rotating front focusing elements because the flash attached to the front of the lens on the filter thread

Incomplete product as a flash
For modern z camera,u need to buy a nikon hot shoe adaptor along with a pc sync chord to actually make it works..I got it on a discounted price for my macro photography works..now searching for those two..not mentioned anywhere in product.

Nice buy. Will recommend for buying
This one was a flash light as compared to simple ring lights that are on always on mode. Fit was perfect with the adaptors. Only flaw appears to be that battery runs out earlier than is quoted.
