This is a yeast nutrient, not a yeast. Max ABV would depend on the type of mash you are fermenting and the type of yeast you are using as well as temperature and pH etc. Adding this in the appropriate amount to your mash is optional, it is designed to improve yeast health, making a stronger fermentation, but is not required. I have used this with multiple different grains with good success.
