Supreme Science Selective Guinea Pig 1.5kg

Guinea pigs seem super impressed with this food. We only have 2 little piggies and I made the mistake last time of buying a giant bag, thinking it would last a long time, which it did, however storage as a bit of a pain, I tried this guinea pig food which seems a really good quality and a reasonable price, the ingredients are clean and healthy and the guinea pigs seem to prefer this food and are more interested in eating it, a decent size bag, no change to pig poos, I will be buying this one in future, felt compelled to review, just for the guinea pigs sparked interest and the difference between the two foods. Has the needed ingredients to help keep pigs healthy.

my group of 6 boy piggies eat these up till the bowl is empty so they definitely love them. i find it easy to store near my cage set up and im a bit of a organised freak so as irrelevant as it is, it being purple and cute i can have it out in the open without it annoying me haha. absolutely worth the price to make my piggies happy. as its animal food it obviously doesnt smell like human food but of course like hay nuggets. the smell doesn't spread and is contained within the cage. it lasts a good 3 weeks as they also get their good share of veggies on top of these. my lovelies continuously have silky soft fur too which im guessing is a result in good food!. definitely recommend.

Really pleased with this food. My guinea pigs enjoy it and it feels like a good quality, balanced pellet. I like that it helps avoid selective feeding compared to mixed foods, so I know they’re eating everything they need rather than picking out favourite bits. The bag is a good size, arrived well packaged and is easy to store. I would happily buy again and recommend.

My piggies adore this food! We switched over from another popular brand, as this food gives more nutrition and higher vitamin C than what we were using. As soon as it’s in my guinea pigs bowls, they dig straight in leaving 5 very happy girls.

I own seven guinea pigs, in two separate (large) runs indoors. I leave 2-3 bowls of this down and refill it each day as needed. They get fresh hay daily as my sows in particular go through it incredibly quick, and they get a good portion of veggies a few times throughout the week, rather than daily because I have found that this helps keep their vitamin C levels under control (therefore no chalky wee!) and this diet also means I have never had a sick piggy, or a guinea pig with an upset tummy. My sows have been on science selective from before I even owned them - but my two boars came to me on a different food. Their previous food looked great - a bit like muesli, but the problem is, they'd pick out their favourite bits (not necessarily the healthiest) and leave the rest. Science selective gives them no choice but to eat what they are given - so there's no wastage, especially as all seven of my guinea pigs are brilliant eaters. One of my boars was very fussy when I first got them and had started to slowly switch them over to science selective - now he eats perfectly. I love this food for my guinea pigs and will always use this for them now. I highly recommend it, it may take them a week or two to get into it if they're switching from something else but try it out. I'm in a few guinea pig forums and it's a favourite amongst piggy owners. I buy the 10kg because it's a big sack full, lasts my seven guinea pigs a long time & works out considerably cheaper in the long run if you have somewhere to store it.

Although I haven't tasted it myself, the guinea pigs seem to like it and that's all that matters.
