My second one of these. Fast. Reliable. Easy to set up. What more can I say. If you need raid 0, 1 or 10 done cheaply. This is the card for you. My first card has two raid 1’s with ssd’s. My second card has a raid 10 with 4 x 500GB hybrid drives. Reliable and fast.

I love this works perfect and could set up my raid 10 ready for my hyperv 2016 system. Works floorless at the moment only need to check with how the rebuild for a failed drive works. edit: this has been working perfect for months! no issues along with when a drive gets taken out the system still carrys on working.

Great if you want to link a SSD and standard drive to get the most of speed and capacity from both.

Easy to install, easy to use.

Bought this to run two RAID 1 arrays. After setting them up and copying data back on to the drive I noticed that the copy throughput was way lower than what I experienced previously when I was running the drives in a software RAID. What made it worse is that occasionally during the long copy the copying process would just hang completely and the drives would become unresponsive, sometimes for minutes on end, before resuming again. Not sure if that's due to the driver or some buffering issue on the chip, but it's just unacceptable. I bought this card to get an improvement over software raid, but it was way worse. After removing the card and going back to software raid, with the same drives, I got much better speeds, so my issue was definitely with this card. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Simple & easy to install & setup, does the job perfectly.

I build a home NAS system with these cards and Im getting mediocre to bad performance out of them and Im going to replace these with some LSI sas9207-8i instead. The pricing is high compared to what you can get in the used hardware space, like the before mentioned LSI controllers flashed to IT mode for JBOD. - Would not recommend buying for anything else than making a testbench. - Performance in ZFS RAIDZ2 8*6TB (7200rpm, 256mb cache). Writing MBps (Average 2GB Transfer) 18,59456,65 Reading MBps (Average) 456,65

I bought this to hook up my 4 NAS drives, JBOD mode. The configuration was a bit tricky, but after installing the latest firmware and drivers, the card is able to work again on JBOD mode. After 8 months and my NAS is running smoothly 24/24 with no problem so far. Will update this comment if something happened later on.

per il momento ottima scheda, installata in uno slot PCIe X2 necessita lo scaricamento dei driver e aggiornamento FW dal sito del produttore, configurati 2 array da 2 HD ciascuno in RAID tramite l'opzione CTRL-M al boot del bios. Creati dischi GPT visti correttamente come SATA III, per ora funzionante e veloce nelle prestazioni
