Perfect for my protein pandan pancakes delicious, I added a little bit of sugar with pandan extract. I also did add coconut flakes inside these pancakes, freaking delicious, and these pancakes were from scratch.

I baked with pandan for the first time. I made a pistachio cake that I wanted to make more green without using artificial food coloring. I ordered this product because it was not an extract or flavoring but real ground pandan leaves. The bag was rather small but enough for several cakes. Upon opening the bag, the smell is lovely - kind of floral and green plant. Tasting the powder directly was nice - I could tell this might make a good tea but not sure if it would stain your teeth - it is really green! I used two tsp per loaf of cake and the color was beautiful green. I did not detect any kind of flavor however. Next time I use it I will double the amount because it would be nice if the lovely flavor would come through. So now I am a big fan of pandan and this brand which I am ordering again. Making green Christmas cookies? Won't be using any chemical dyes anymore for that.

I am sure the product is great for cooking, but the smell is super overwhelming. I tried to use it as a natural dye, but the taste and smell were too strong for that purpose. It made my entire apartment smell like grass.

sort of odd that it smelled like wheatgrass and not pandan. I was going to use it for baking so I tossed it since I didn’t want to waste all that flour and other ingredients; I went with the extract i had instead. Sorry this was a no go for me.

I bought this because it’s used in Singapore as a cancer fighting supplement. Supposed to taste sweet, a bit like vanilla. I found it very bitter, even mixed with fruit juice and ice cubes to make a smoothie/slushy. Guess it’s an acquired taste.

Not only was this good in making the traditional cake, but adding a little to any homemade cake or coffee, cake was quite delicious. It gives a unique flavor that leaves everyone guessing. Some people thought floral, some people thought herbal. But everyone liked them.

So I have heard that pandan tastes a bit like vanilla, but when I tasted this tea it was more in line with what I expected it to be: a healthy, wholesome, grassy/bitter flavored drink much like the other green drink powders out there. I do not think it is bad in the slightest. In fact, I enjoy that I can add another potentially healthy drink to my diet, and the fact that this is completely natural and grown without chemicals and pesticides is enough to make me come back for more. It is also in a resealable bag so that saves me from having to rebag it or store it in another container. I am very satisfied and looking forward to ordering some more.
