These bulbs worked perfectly on our front porch. The bulbs that we had in the past were always too dim, they did not provide enough light for seeing at night time. These bulbs are bright enough that you can see the front porch and I have not seen any bugs. Come and been attracted to it. I just ordered more for the rest of our outside light fixtures. Very happy with the product. As you can see from the Photo, our front porch is neigh enough to see, yet still has a nice ambience to sit out there in the evening.

The brightest of the yellow bug bulbs that we have tried and they work very well. A dramatic difference in the amount of moths and flying insects while still ficingoog light.

I would say these bulbs cut down the bugs by 90ish percent. And the bugs that still show up are a lot less active so there is less chance of them flying in the house when you open the door.

As for installation, after I screwed this light bulb into the light socket, the light would not turn on. So I put a small amount of vegetable oil on a paper towel and rubbed it around the base of the light bulb, then twisted the base back into the light bulb socket. Voila! It works! I thought this tip might help someone. As far as brightness, the yellow bug light lights my patio, but not much into my yard. It’s not flickering. I need to give it some time to see how it does at repelling bugs and to evaluate longevity.

I bought the bulbs after searching for the best bug bulbs on the web. This bulb was listed as the best bulb. I previously bought bulbs at a local big box store that did not work since they were simply yellow glass. I put in these bulbs in all my outdoor fixtures and, so far, I have not see any bugs near them at night.

Ever since I’ve replaced my regular bulbs on my porch light with these I’ve had no issues whatsoever with the mosquitoes that were a problem. They are well worth my purchase and I will be buying more to keep on hand.

Perhaps this review is unfair, as there may not exist ANY "bug bulbs" which do not attract insects at night. I was hoping that LED technology was better than the old incandescent yellow bulbs, but alas, the majority of bugs find these irresistible. In fairness, I do think that there are fewer moths. It's a pleasing warm yellow light and is quite bright, just not invisible to bugs as suggested. Seems to work better than I thought at first. I guess the bugs were just used to hanging out on my front porch, but now there are much fewer!

Installed this bulb 2 days ago on my porch. The company says, “it cuts bug attraction up to 90%.” NOT TRUE, it is ATTRACTING a lot more bugs than my old bulb… It is bright, but it’s NOT a bug deterrent. I don’t NOT recommend…

I was hesitant to buy another yellow bulb because they aren’t always bright. These are really bright and I don’t have trouble seeing the walk. And it helps keep down the moths.

Los venden como amarillos, en realidad la luz es naranja halloween. Por esta razón no los recomiendo para nada.
