. Review: Elvis' biggest and best have never ever sounded better!!! - How time flies by! My current 2 CD compilation of Elvis Presley's biggest hits was issued way back in 1988. And to put it mildly the sound quality on that collection leaves much to be desired. Recently, I borrowed RCA's 2002 release "Elvis: 30 #1 Hits" from my local library and gave it a listen. The difference in the sound quality was astounding! It goes without saying that the technology has come a long way in the past 16 years. In my view, "Elvis: 30 #1 Hits" has got to be the finest collection ever assembled of the much beloved "King of Rock & Roll". All 30 tunes included on this single disc collection were #1 songs either here in the USA or in England where Elvis' remains incredibly popular even to this day. And there is such a wide variety of styles included here covering every phase of Elvis Presley's remarkable career at RCA records. You are sure to enjoy old favorites like "Don't Be Cruel", "One Night" and "It's Now Or Never" all digitally remastered and crystal clear. Amazing! Younger fans might recall hits from the early 1970's like "Suspicious Minds" and the hard driving "Burning Love" from the Fall of 1972. I was also pleased to find a couple of tunes I do not currently own including "Wooden Heart" and "Way Down" both of which made it to the top of the charts in England. And as an added bonus, RCA has included the 2002 worldwide smash "A Little Less Conversation". This remix of the original recording helped introduce Elvis to a whole new generation of fans. Listen to it a few times and you will find that this tune will grow on you too. If you are at all like me you like to see some decent liner notes when you purchasing a collection like this. RCA has included a nicely done 24 page booklet with this set. And best of all the price is extremely attractive. While I am not ordinarily in the habit of replacing CD's in my collection I am going to make an exception in this case. As soon as I stop typing, I am going to order "Elvis: 30 #1 Hits" and toss out my old collection from 1988. It is that much of an upgrade. Very highly recommended!!! Review: STILL THE ONE AND ONLY KING OF ROCK N' ROLL ! - The fidelity and sound are improved and the "king" has never sounded better. This album proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that the poor country boy from Tupelo Mississippi was the "original" and everyone who came after him were "also rans". He took the elements of blues, country, hillbilly and Southern gospel and created a new and unique sound that will never be outdated. Where other singers might have had one or two of the afore mentioned elements, Elvis was the first to combine them all. This album will be a delight to older fans and show the new and younger fans that it was indeed Elvis started the rock n' roll craze. Elvis did not need the hype of electronic soundboard tweeking; overdubbing, multi- tracking, echo chambers and synthesized back up to create great records as do the so called "artists" of today. His early Sun recordings, with just his voice and rhythm back up, are as simple and pure as you can get and they remain "classics". No artist since has had the combination of God given talent: voice, looks, personality, stage presence and charisma that was Elvis Presley. Maybe once or twice in a lifetime does there appear a giant in select fields of music. In pop it was the incomparable Frank Sinatra. In classical music it was Mario Lanza and now the incredible Charlotte Church. In country it was Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline. In rock it was Elvis. Now, twenty five years after his untimely death, he is still setting chart records and winning new fans and admirers. I can only hope that there will be a 2nd remastered album of more of his unmatched million sellers that didn't make it on this album. Long live the "King"!

Great CD and song selection.
I really love Elvis and the selection that this CD offers, however, my case arrived with two cracks on the front. Which I know is not the shippers issue but rather the delivery driver. Great product just a little bummed it has a crack on the front of the case.

Produto excelente!

I was 18 years old, four days before heading to Vietnam, not knowing if I would ever return, I had just acquired a new to me, 11 year old Buick Rocket 88, in its day it it was considered the first true muscle car, light body, huge V8, chrome to spare. Our neighbor Mr Turner had owned it since new, he had loved as much as I was going to, but due to health he could no longer drive. Over the years he had known how much I had admired it, for years now I had manicured his lawn, shoveled his driveway, cared for his roses, and he wanted me to have it, he couldn't bear the thought of someone owning it who wasn't going to care for her like I would, my first car... On my first night with the car I just cruised, all over town, showing off my new wheels, I was on top of the world. As the night progressed my hunger grew, and I knew my time for a quick late night meal was diminishing fast, so I headed to Mel's diner, and that's when I saw her, a godess! True grace, her roller skates brought her straight to my car, even though others had arrived clearly before me. She smiled and asked "what will have?", I glanced at her name tag, "Lisa", I had always loved that name... I replied "a cheeseburger, fries, a root beer float, and a side of Lisa", she smiled, caressed my arm, which had been hanging out the window, and skated off. She returned a few minutes later with my order, she smiled and said "I get off in 15 minutes", she took a fry off my window tray order, and once again skated off. I ate what was the best meal of my life... We cruised around for hours, making small talk, she sat in the middle front seat, my arm around her shoulders, life doesn't get any better. We parked on Blueberry Hill and watched the sunrise, it was magic... That's when she said "my parents are out of town", so off we went... As we arrived she put on this Elvis record, we listened, and for three days and three nights of passionate love, Elvis was always on, neither of us wanted it to end. On the final night, as she slept, the reality of war set in, I knew then I might never see her again, from my wallet I took out a photo of myself and left it on her dresser. I slipped out the door. Some of you might have realized by now this album wasn't released until 2002, and this whole story is fictitious, in my defense I was bored... Good album though!
