How far will it launch the darts?

Trash! Save the money. I bought two different types of these. Both are horrible. Loading you stab yourself. It shoots maybe 5 feet with some accuracy.

Will this kill a rooster?

No. Actually pretty cheaply made. Doesn't shoot straight or powergul
