InSinkErator Air Switch Button and Bellows

UPDATED: Two years after installation and the rubber seal that forms the air switch supply itself has cracked and is now leaking. It lasted just 10% of the time of the original one. Says a lot about the quality of the materials used! Now need yet another one!Our air puffer for the air switch ran out if ‘puff’ after 22 years and this was bought as a replacement. Glad to say that it is OEM and not a ‘copy’ part.Took about 5 mins to change out. I only needed to cut about 1/2 inch (1cm) off the old air hose and re-attach it to the new puffer.Everything working again as normal. The puffer is expensive, but it is an original spare part and should work for another 20+ years. Came with white & chrome trim. We needed the chrome one. Also includes a long length of clear plastic hose in case you need to replace your (we didn’t).

The inSinkErator had recently been hard to start and stop, and then one day nothing worked. A bit of a search and I found that others had fixed theirs by changing the air switch. I look at cheaper non-branded items, but selected this one as I expected it to be a simple swap over that I could do myself.This unit comes with both white and silver buttons and surrounds, and I had to switch from white to silver to match the old switch I was replacing. Hardest part of changing the old failed switch for this was clearing out the dishes from the cupboard underneath the switch. Then it was simple to fit and in less than five minutes I was putting the dishes back in the cupboard and the waste disposal was working as it has since we had the kitchen done.

This was a replacement for the previous air switch which had failed. Replacement was straightforward and product worked well as expected.

This is the second time we've had to replace the air switch on the waste disposal (I don't know where the first replacement came from).However the cost was low enough, and it was straightforward to fit.As a bonus, the switch comes with both a white and a silver finish (which I don't think is obvious from the description).

My 14 year old sinkerator stopped working, so I ordered a new air switch, which did the trick. It now works beautifully again. It was easy to install & saved me a substantial call-out fee!I am delighted with this item, which was also delivered swiftly & efficiently.

There were a number of problems with this item. initially it was unfit for purpose and inoperable. some parts were missing and the main item was damaged. I received a bag of bits which did not make sense, in fact 2 of the items looked as though they had been used previously. This item should never have passed quality control. I have notified the manufacturer by email, but as yet have not had a reply

It’s expensive for what it is, but easy install and has a choice of colour chrome or white, I used this for jacuzzi bath as old switch was letting water in

I believe that more expensive waste disposers come with both chrome and white buttons - but mine was the $40.00 one (i.e. £110.00 on the UK!) so it only came with the chrome-finish button.This allowed me to change to white, which looks much better with my gloss white kitchen.
