Lehle P-Split stands for "passive splitting" with maximum signal fidelity. One instrument can be routed to two amplifiers simultaneously. Output A is electrically isolated from Output B by the Lehle LTHZ high end transformer - so ground loops are excluded from the start. In addition, the Lehle P-Split also features a gold-plated-contact phase-reversing and ground switch. Lehle LTHZ The Lehle LTHZ is a ferrite core transformer consisting of two coils with very high inductivity with minimal scatter. It is ideal for the galvanic isolation of high-impedance signals. Ein Hinweis dazu ist absolut obligatorisch. Aktuell ist der P-Split III. Die Testberichte füer das 2er Modell auf der Lehle Homepage sind 8 Jahre alt. Das 3er Modell kostet ein paar Euro weniger. Tja, da bin ich wohl reingefallen und habe den Ladenhüter total überteuert gekauft..... Review: I needed a device to provide isolation for my in-ear monitor setup between the PA mixer and my guitar amp, and the Lehle P-Split works perfectly. My guitar goes through my pedalboard, to the input of the Lehle, and out to my amp through the "dir" output. The "iso" output goes into my Rolls monitor station. It effectively isolates my guitar electronics from the microphone loop going to the bands mixer and PA. High quality, built like a tank, and very simple to use and operate.

I bought this to split my guitar to Rocksmith on my PS3 and to my Mesa Dual Rectifier tube amp. I tried a standard Y splitter, but the ground loop hum noise made it unusable. This Lehle P-Split works perfectly and I am able to play with no noise. So, if you want to use Rocksmith with your tube amp, this is the device to get. I highly recommend it.

This is a good product if you want to split your guitar to two amps. The phase reverse switch is helpful for this. There is a slight change in sound over the transformer isolated side when using a passive source, but it is still quite usable and adding a buffer completely eliminates the tonal change. Still, a passive pickup is a very weak signal, and the fact that you can have a passive device to split the signal and keep it ground isolated makes this a very good product. Also very solidly built, ready for the road.

I actually use this to split the signal from my MOXF8 and send it to a direct box and personal monitor. Works perfectly for this with no perceived loss in volume or quality.
