Baby Faces (Soft-to-Touch Books)

Baby / toddler always reaches for this book. It's a very simple photo book of babies making different facial expressions to teach emotions. Real photos which are more relatable than animated pictures. We make the face along with the baby. At 16 months toddler is beginning to understand the different expressions.

I bought this for my baby after seeing it at a library storytime and she absolutely loves it. I bought it when she was about seven months old and now at 10 months she imitates some of the expressions and know their meaning when said. There are a wide range of emotions (happy/sad/laughing etc.) and actions (ex. peek-a-boo/clean/dirty etc.) in the book and a good variety of different babies. This is always one of the first books my little one picks from the shelf. Babies love looking at other babies.

One of our favourite books! This has been an important tool in helping our son, as young as 9 months, about feelings and empathy. We keep this to hand most days. A must have in a baby and toddlers library.

Baby likes the pictures but the skin tones mostly look very orange.

This is a very sweet little book with lots of baby faces. My little one absolutely loves other babies so it’s been very hard during lockdown! She enjoys looking at the pictures and likes to stroke the other babies!

I was a little surprised when I received this as it is a very small book but actually a perfect size for my 1 year old grandaughter to hold. She loves looking at the faces and expressions of other babies, makes a change from the usual animal pictures.

This book is one of my son’s favourite. Recommend for toddlers
