I was looking for an inexpensive multi-meter, and I certainly got that.. It does what it's supposed to do, and seems accurate for the few things I've tested it on, so far.. I do like that it has a softer plastic "surround" that offers some protection if it gets knocked around, although ~that~ is the case that is mentioned in the title of the description.. I was expecting something a bit different for a case though, tbh... I also like that on the Continuity setting, you get both a beep noise (actually loud enough to hear) AND a red light illuminates.. Very easy to immediately see and hear when you have a good circuit.. As others have mentioned, the molded-in probe mounts are a bit distorted, so it takes a moment of work to seat the probes.. They're adequate, but not great... THE one thing I'm really disappointed in (aside from no case) is......there is NO BACKLIGHT for the LCD screen on this unit... That's pretty standard nowadays, or so I thought, but that is kindof an annoyance when you're using this in a not well-lit situation.... And sooner or later, you will... So just a disappointment in this meter, for that.... Had I realized that before my purchase, I would have bought something else.. That said, it works, and does a good job, so I will certainly use it... Took one star off for the lack of backlight..

I have used this multimeter about 20 times already and I love it. It is very easy to understand, is very accurate and it works great. For the price I am really happy with it. My last one the lead wires broke, the connector got damaged easily and it was just a piece of crap, this one I think will last me a while. I am happy and can recommend it.

Work with heavy machinery and its a solid multimeter. Pretty durable and everything works properly.

Easy to use, this is more than a battery tester...

The measurement result is a little off compare to my other premium FLUKE multimeter. But my son needed a multimeter for his Scioly competition and he has a tendency to lose stuffs so I just wanted to get him a cheap one. This one is good enough for his need. The alligator clip broke the first time he used it. The kit does come with 2 sets, so still OK. Besides, he really needs to use mini hooks to access the test point, though the set does not come with mini hooks.

I have used multimeters since circa 1978 and this has become my "go to" multimeter for both home use and for work (my work is IT support). In fact, I have purchased three of these: one for home, one to keep at work, and one I keep in my daily drive vehicle. These are well made and I love the large display screen since my ability to see close up has become of victim of "old man eyes" also known as presbyopia. This multimeter is easy to use and doing some comparison testing with other multimeters, I found it to be accurate. I like the fact this multimeter's dial has distinct battery testing settings. Not that I need that since I know how to use the meter, but other family members like to use the battery test function. I like this, consider it a good value for the money, and I do recommend this for yourself or as a gift.
