It had loads of cool stories from Travis Barker's life right from his childhood and throughout his time in various bands. Even though he has lived through some crazy stuff, he comes across as a genuinely nice and likeable person. I think even someone who didn't know who he was would enjoy reading this. I don't want to spoil anything that's in the book so I'll just say it was great enough that I would read it again some day and recommend to anyone. Review: A great read. Travis Barker story is amazing - A great read. Travis Barker story is amazing. I first heard of Travis as the quiet drummer from Blink 182, I always saw Travis as he was stereotyped. I always thought more of Tom and Mark as the musicians of the group. Shows what I know about music right. This coupled with the fact in the last Blink 182 concert I attended (Wembely Stadium) Travis just stole the show he did not say anything, he just played he made the other guys look like his back up for his performance. Apparently this was the way it was at every show. Travis was born to be a superstar. He knew what he wanted in and from life, he was willing to put in the work, gave himself no out, and he was going to be a rockstar drummer. He has survived the rockstar lifestyle even before he as famous, and out lived and out partied but most of all out worked everyone. This book talks all of Travis' up and down his attitude, his addictions and his amazing will to overcome his own adversity and fears. This is a great story or and it is now at 39 with his drive, enough money and contacts to do whatever he wants with whoever he wants there is going to a lot more f on Travis Barker to come.

An incredible insight into the life of Travis Barker
As a huge tracks barker fan I have to say I was extremely excited to hear about this book coming out. Since receiving the book I have been reading it in all my spare time and it's been incredible! I am about half way through the book so far and it is a must have for anyone who is a fan of his. There is a huge amount of personal information involved in the book and it really makes you appreciate how much he has been through to get to where he is today and also how many bands he went through at the start of his drumming career. I thought that I knew almost everything about him from how much iv followed his career in my life time (thankfully the parts I thought I knew have been confirmed for example his first tattoo and the final push that made him pursue drumming as a career) but after getting about half way through I quickly worked out my knowledge barely scraped the surface Highly recommended this to any fan of his!

Great read.
I absolutely love everything Travis Barker and so I had to get this book. I got a hard cover which is great cause I hate the look of books when they get bashed up and broken spines. I know I can have this book for years to come without it getting damaged beyond reading. This book has so much information, you can learn so much about Travis from it! It is highly personal which is what you expect from something like this. It includes photos and drawings from his childhood too which was really cool. I liked the personal touch with the decoration on the pages, made it really his own and a truly original book. Really impressed.

Good book.. maybe a bit boring
Some surprising stuff. I love the way this was written: travis mentions a memory from someone then they put in their perspective of that time. Was a great way to write the book. Lots of great pictures. Definitely worth a read

An enjoyable read
It comes across how much he loves his family, drums and women. I was very moved by his experience of the horrific plane crash and his painful recovery which takes a toll on him emotionally and mentally. I absolutely enjoyed learning about his history with the drums and the passion he has for drumming. He appears to be the real deal when it comes to the drums and his family. I found the book very quick to get through so the pace is good. I really enjoyed it and recommend this book.

Fantastic!
Having read alot of rock autobiogs and this is definitely the top pick. So easy to read, written in a really conversational style. Also there are comments from people he knows which pop up throughout the book which is nice as it puts things in context and shows his relationships to different people. It's very rock and roll, lots of girls, drugs, drama and general intrigue but he comes across as a really authenic guy. I was sad to finish it to be honest. Can't recommend highly enough!
