Good budget-friendly scope covers that do the job. Easy to install, fit well, and provide solid protection against dust and dirt. The flip-up design works smoothly, but the rubber may wear over time. Great for casual use, though not as durable as premium options.

Update: my fears are correct, the rubber split on both covers. I look at more recent reviews and everyone is having dame problem. My 37-42 cover and 43-48 cover split. This rifle dies not get tossed around. It sits inky bedroom waiting for groundhogs in my garden. Not submitted or anything. Otherwise I really liked the price and the snap shut action of these. The outer dimensions of my scope (Leupold VX Freedom series) fell between the range of both end caps. So I knew it would not be too lose or a big stretch to get them on. They fit well, set the lip of the cover on the Scope and with a circular motion they went almost all the way on. Bottom it out by using your thumb and work around the scope until it bottoms out. They open easily and close very well. I do not mind this 'manual' opening wit a finger. Some of the other 'red button' covers do not open well. you spend more time pressing and wiggling the button in order for it to work. My only thought is that I hope the rubber boot part of these Monstrums, hold up over time.

These technically work fine, but they don't leave me with a lot of confidence. I've had these for almost six months to the day on two rifles and the rubber is pretty much done; all four caps are split and warped. I shoot most weekends and my guns live in air conditioning, but these things look like they've been through a few tours in kandahar. That being said, they stay on my scopes just fine and flip open nicely. The lens cover is big enough to hold a small DOPE card. As far as functionality, they're exactly what I was looking for, but I just don't see these things lasting through a year of use.

Bought a set of these for my Leupold Freedom RDS (size 37-42). Nice snug waterproof fit. Clean snap of the rigid plastic cap when opening and closing. For the most part I liked it. It seemed like solid protection for my red dot at a good price. Unfortunately, both lens covers looked identical and I couldn't tell the difference (if there was one) between the eyepiece cover and the objective lens cover. When I put them on it made my big red dot look even more massive so, I gave one away to a buddy and kept this one on my objective lens (the objective lens on the Leupold RDS is 40mm). It lasted about a year before it split at the seams. The gun has only been used at the range and then stayed in my safe so, the lens cover hasn't been put through any challenging paces. Maybe I put the wrong cover on the wrong lens, who knows. It would be helpful if Monstrum would label the covers so one can know which cover goes to which lens. Still, I got a year of use out of it and for the price I guess I got my money's worth. I contacted Monstrum and they told me that they would replace it if I send it back to them. Their warranty is still good.

Quite impressed with the quality of these, been shooting and hunting for fifty years+. The fit is great, tight and has considerable depth so you know its going to stay on the scope. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Fair price for the quality!
