Excellent range!
I already had a USB Bluetooth adapter that worked very well for me with one exception: the range just wasnโt as good as I had wanted. I could walk about 20 or 30 feet away from my PC before the signal would start to deteriorate and/or just completely drop out. So, I found this long-range Bluetooth adapter by Techkey and figured that the adapterโs antenna would probably give it a much better range (which the previous adapter did not have). And I was right โ the range on this thing is great! First off, installation was a breeze. The antenna first needs to be screwed into the back of the adapter and the antenna itself can be oriented in any direction you like. I already had the Microsoft generic Bluetooth adapter driver on my Windows 11 PC from the previous Bluetooth installation, so all I had to do was plug the adapter into a USB port โ Windows found the adapter and it was ready to use in a few seconds. On that note: the included manual says that โNo driver needs to be installedโ (which assumes that Windows will automatically set up and use itโs default generic Bluetooth driver). No problems pairing any of my Bluetooth devices (wireless earbuds, wireless headphones, a Bluetooth speaker, and a couple of Bluetooth-enabled portable keyboards). For the range test I used my wireless earbuds. My PC is in a bedroom at the back of the house (which is about 1800 square feet) and I was able to walk into any other room throughout the house without any signal deterioration or dropouts. I even made it outside to my car in the driveway, although the signal did deteriorate a little bit out there, but it didnโt cut out completely โ now thatโs impressive! I also went into our backyard and didnโt experience any dropouts there either. This is a true Plug-and-Play device that works very well in Windows 11, and the range is just outstanding. Highly recommended!

Definitely long range!
I tested this 5.3 bluetooth adapter using a Windows computer so our review reflects that. The product itself seems sturdy, and gives out premium feel vibes. Out of the package you get the usb portion and antenna that you assemble easily, just attaching the two pieces together (takes 20 seconds or less) prior to inserting into any usb port. The antenna gives you stellar range. (To give you point of reference, with my previous 5.0 bluetooth adapter from a major manufacturer, my connection would cut out often, often in the same room.) With this one, the range went to about 800 feet, and it did not cut out until I walked outside my house and was standing at the base of my driveway. Impressive. Also, if you have compatible headphones that support 5.2 or higher, with this new standard, then youโll get better sound quality with less power consumption versus a 5.0 adapter, which is great because my old headphones were backwards compatible, so yours should be too. It worked well with game controllers from major game consoles, as we tested it while using 2 controllers at once, having good response times. I highly recommend this 5.3 bluetooth adapter because this one has an antenna that helps with range and clarity. Hope this works just as well for all your gaming and music needs.

Works well with windows, good range with the ext antenna.
Really needed this for an sbc project that operates from a linux os and while this dongle chipset supports file transfers on the before mentioned os I cannot get any peripheral devices such as keyboards, gamepads or headphones to connect on it be it the sbc or pc, but this same dongle on a windows pc works perfectly so odds are maybe some lack of firmware for linux. This has a pretty good connection distance when paired up to some headphones on a windows pc, passed through 1 wall with relative ease, did not start to lose connection up until about the average range for most bluetooth devices, especially since the headphones I used was based on an older bt standard. File transfers really shine on BT 5.0 when compared to the older 4.0 standard especially when paired to another bt 5.0 device and the price on this at the time of writing makes this very reasonable to stock up on a few in case any suddenly stop working. All in all this works well in a windows machine. -Small, compact, easy plug n play on windows and includes a built in external antenna port with antenna -Works pretty good -Does not work on all oses yet but then again it's not advertised as

Perfect way to bring modern accessories to computers and laptops
I have many computers and laptops but none of them have native support for Bluetooth, which seems to be a technology that is an afterthought in many devices outside of mobile but is also extremely useful for so many accessories. In the past I had bought expensive Bluetooth adapters only to discover they were legacy versions 2.x or 3.x and couldn't support many accessories. This dongle is the perfect way to future proof a system and support easy connectivity for many devices. I was able to easily sync my Xbox One controller and a third party controller without any problem. There are headsets, Bluetooth speakers, cameras and more that can now sync with my aging computer. The Bluetooth adapter has an optional angle-adjustable antenna that boosts longer range support than what many micro controllers would accommodate. I've had no trouble using accessories from across the room and with headphones can even go to other rooms without any trouble. Note that there are still some stubborn devices (like select Logitech peripherals) that rely on proprietary adapters so your results may vary when trying to interface with non-standard Bluetooth components. But I'm very happy with what I've been able to utilize so far and without having to swap back and forth from specialized dongles anymore!

An upgrade in signal strength!
While my Bluetooth adapter works most of the time, over the last year I started running into the significant problem that my headset would start cutting out any time I left my immediate work area. I tried different USB ports, charging my headset, using a USB extension to put it in a higher, clearer place -- none of the usual methods for improving signal worked. So, I decided to start with replacing the simplest, cheapest thing, first: the USB transmitter. My old USB transmitter was a low profile dongle, so I opted for a new one with a visible antenna instead. Wow. It didn't completely restore my old range that I used to have with my headset (I later found out the USB hub I was using was also a contributing factor) but it did improve it significantly and also had the added benefit of making the headset louder and clearer. I usually use the headset for music and the difference was immediate upon plugging it in and re-pairing my devices. I am so much happier right now! I very much recommend this for anyone having signal issues with their current setup!

Durable//Performs Well//Priced Exceptionally
This long range Bluetooth Adapter (5.3) has performed flawlessly over the last few months. I have not had any issues with dropped signal, and I assume the enhanced external antenna is the basis for the exceptional performance. The price point of $9.88 in view of performance and quality is great. I recommend purchase of the product.

Wireless goodness!
The Long Range Bluetooth Adapter for Desktop PC,Techkey 5.3+EDR V4 USB Bluetooth Adapter has most definitely lived up to its name. Installation into my Windows 11 Pro computer was as simple as attaching it to a USB port and enabling the device with Device Manager. I'm guessing you might not have to do the Device Manager step if you don't already have BT internally on your machine. Because I have that feature I had to disable the internal BT device before enabling this new, external device. After that was done, all of my various BT devices connected to my computer without any issues. Everything from headphones, iPhones, music equipment, etc. And the wireless range is one of the best features. I can walk around the house with my Shure Bluetooth headphones and not experience any signal degradation of music from my computer. There have not been any glitches in the few months I have been using this external USB Bluetooth device. It connects to whatever device I have in DISCOVERY mode every time and has never dropped a connection. Great value! Highly recommend.

This adapter to the rescue
I have a home built PC and after a year the built in Bluetooth died. Now I didn't want to go through the hassle of replacing my motherboard just to get Bluetooth. I also considered a wi-fi/Bluetooth PCI card but I was short on slots. I was looking for a method to restore Bluetooth to my PC with the least amount of trouble. This adapter came to the rescue and was just what I needed. I read other reviews where folks had problems using this if their on-board Bluetooth was enabled. Just to be sure, I went into the Bios and turned off the built in Bluetooth adapter and uninstalled the Bluetooth drivers. They weren't working anyway, so might as well get rid of them. This arrived and I plugged it in and it just worked. Everything that I had previously been using with Bluetooth (Mouse, headphones etc.) worked perfectly. This was a quick and easy fix. This also offers the latest in Bluetooth technology, so if you just want an upgrade, consider trying this. Works like a dream.
