Bell System 801 Door Entry Handset - White

Installed it wire for wire. It’s a good replacement and it saved me a lot of money getting a professional contractor out to sort the old phone. Fairly easy to do. Just take a photograph of the wiring before you begin.

Excellent product. I bought this to replace a 30 years old handset that I couldn't hear anymore. It was working but had a very quiet ring. I couldn't even tell what make it was, only that it had a B as a logo. I installed the wires in the same order the first time and nothing worked. No instructions in the pack. I've done a little research and found this compatibility diagram, noticed that my handset was the only one with an 11 so it was a Briton. I looked at the equivalent to bell and I had to match the wires to IROTZ and now it works like a charm. Very loud. It even has a volume switch if that's not for you. Definitely worth the purchase

I've purchased 4 of these over the last year for use with a 4 way BELLINI Audio Door Entry System on my house. They are good quality, solid and work well. If you are replacing an older intercom phone I suggest taking a photo of the cables before you remove the old one so you know exactly where they need to go on this one. One smart feature is the door release button is located under the phone, so you can't accidently unlock the door by knocking into it. Recommended.

Bought to replace old intercom that began to be faulty and a eyesore. This was good value for money and modern, it was very easy to set up using a reviewers images even though different colour wires . Good adjustable sound quality. Pleased with the purchase.

Great value for money! Looks very good when installed and isn’t nearly as bad an eye sore as the older models. The conversation chart isn’t great though. I’ve fitted 3 of these now and 2 were an absolute nightmare. If you’re buying this, I’d make sure you already have a Bell phone in place, if it’s a different make, I’d replace like for like. There is a chart online that shows what connections go where but as I’ve said, 2/3 haven’t worked. It can be a nightmare trying to get it right. If you have a Bell phone already, definitely use this. if you don’t, I wouldn’t bother tbh.

good value for money

Purchased this unit recently. Delivery was punctual and hassle free. This high gloss brilliant white handset, looks great in my modern home. It replaced an old brownish circa 1970's handset. Connecting it up to the existing door entry system was so easy. If took my electrician all of 20 minutes to complete the job. The modern sounding ring is beautiful, the volume of the ringer can be turned up or down as you require. Great product, works well and looks fantastic, 5/5 stars.

Came with no instructions, my old system had different wiring so I couldn’t copy. After spending 2 hours googling & trying every different option, realised after looking on a forum it’s not compatible with mine. Helpful for spec to state whats it’s compatible with. I contacted supplier who didn’t respond & its cost me £2.79 to return for a refund
