Product description Pipe-prep is a brand new combination tool that cleans and deburrs copper pipe ends. Flattening and smoothing rather than grinding and cutting off burrs the tool maintains the integrity of the material and produces the right shape for subsequent joining. Pipe-Prep removes oxidisation a common cause of pipe joint failures making it easier and quicker to achieve sound and reliable pipe connections. Have only used on new copper pipe and it did a great job cleaning the ends of the pipe, much faster and cleaner to use than wire wool, just wipe the end of the pipe after use, apply flux and solder for a leak free joint. Although not essential to use one of these it just makes the job easier and quicker, Highly recommend. Review: Good , but I hope it lasts - It cleans the pipe end, like emery strips, but also clears internal and end burrs effectively. Will have to keep it dry or the internal brushes will rust away.

Excellent
Looks very similar to the Rothenberger pipe cleaner, but for less money. Have only used on new copper pipe and it did a great job cleaning the ends of the pipe, much faster and cleaner to use than wire wool, just wipe the end of the pipe after use, apply flux and solder for a leak free joint. Although not essential to use one of these it just makes the job easier and quicker, Highly recommend.

Cleans but doesn't debur.
Cleans the pipe ok but it advertizes that it also deburrs. It doesn't deburr. Also doesn't look like it will clean pipe for very long.

It works great for about a week then becomes less effective. Not worth having for long term use

Awesome! Really speed up the time in preparing new copper pipe ready for soldering. Only a couple of turns on new pipe and its ready to go! I would like to see spare brushes available to purchase though

Doesn’t seem to touch the pipe tbh not worth the cost

Does not completely remove burr.
The product is supposed to reform the copper pipe rather than removing the burr. Standard Cu pipe in UK may be too thin for the TPPS15 to be able to reform the pipe. I shall probably adapt the product, but this will be beyond most people.
