Beware of fitting type
This had a different fitting so was a bit of a fiddle to attach a mess was made but we figured it out and got it fitted eventually. Filter aspect is fine water tastes good.

Went for the branded version in the end to make sure it would work as expected. When it arrived, very easy to fit, and now good trading water for the next six months

Great value
A lot cheaper than buying direct from LG, and appear to be the genuine item. Certainly fit and work as well as the original. It obviously depends upon your usage, but I find when I get the reminder from my fridge to replace the filter (about once every 6 months), I order a new one, reset the alarm and actually fit the new one the next time the alarm comes up. Water still tastes and looks better than direct from the tap after 12 months of use.
