Easy to install and a no-brainer to use. After the fact, of course I realize I wish I had gotten the WiFi enabled option but plan to get it and add it. Advantage then being that I can see and control access without being in Bluetooth range.

The lock worked as advertised for a few months. It would unlock when I got within my wifi range, it would re-lock if I left/after a set period of time, and life was good. After 3 or 4 months I had to replace the batteries, and then it all went downhill. I had to factory reset and re-setup the lock after initially changing the battery, and afterwards doorsense wouldn't work. It kept failing to calibrate. I figured it was no worries, maybe it would just auto-lock after a period of time and unlock when I got within range still. Now the batteries die every month or so, and I find that the lock either stops working and requires re-setup or just doesn't work. I tried contacting support, but never received a response. I'm pretty disappointed in this company and their lock, I expected a much longer useable lifetime and more support for the cost.

I really liked this product. It comes in black and satin nickel, and I love that it includes a keypad for entering a code and also comes with keys. It's incredibly practical and super easy to use. It's a product I would definitely buy again.

I love the functionality of it. I can unlock it from my phone from any where. With the model I purchased you have to buy the WiFi module separately. Easy installation and setup. My ONLY issue is that it drains batteries so fast. I’ve had to replace the batteries twice in one month. And with 4 batteries, it hurts the pockets a bit. I’ve bought rechargeable batteries to alleviate this but for the cost I really shouldn’t have too. Worth the money but buy yourself rechargeable batteries to save you from the constant frustration of buying new batteries.

Terrible overpriced product. Couldn't setup it up with my phone so it's basically useless overpriced lock that only comes with one key. Terrible inattentive customer service, I had to repeat myself many times on the phone because he wasn't listening/paying attention. Customer service also told me it's a known issue that the lock has trouble connecting to the latest apple and android phones, so the only thing he could do is get the phone model and let their team know so maybe it can maybe be fixed with the next update. It's not functional, the app is super slow and glitchy says it's connected when it's not, continously shows me blank screens in the app and it's unable to reset correctly. The solution to no connection is "log out, close app, log back in" i did that so many times that i lost count during the call with customer service, only to be told "oh the app is not working correctly, there is a glitch, did you do it right, do it again" Unfortunately it's outside of the return period or I would have returned it. Highly do not recommend.

Liked most details of this lock: - solid construction / durable - small footprint / relatively discreet - unaffected by cold weather - quiet operation - worked 100% / no problems - minor issue, though not a flaw - in direct sunlight, difficult to see lit keypad However, in the end, I returned the lock for my purposes: - lock would have been exposed to direct rain when storm door was removed - the weatherproof features are confusing - - lock is weatherproof but water must not get to interior of lock In the end, will try different division's product that retrofits existing AAA deadbolt to smart lock.

Seems to work fine for me in Australia, although I do have the ability to download US App Store apps as I used to live there and have an account still - has anyone tried creating an account in the US App Store? Another thing to try: I noticed that the app is exactly the same as the app used by my August door lock - in fact when I added the lock to the Yale Access app, it also added it to the August lock app and both work interchangeably - might be work try as a back door hack.

No hay manera de registrar el producto con la app. No viene con código QR, el número de serie es rechazado por el app y el product selector no detecta el producto con bluetooth. No es un producto para el mercado Mexicano ya que el app necesario para su instalación solamente se encuentra en el App Store de Estados Unidos o Canadá.

Ive bought several of these and what's strange is some come with the wifi module and others don't. You definitely need the wifi module in order to do any automation through certain software for the Airbnb automation. It's been working great for me and I'm using Hospitable to link everything through my Yale account. Works flawlessly and haven't had any issues at all.

Do not be fooled into purchasing in the UK. Device may be fine in US & Canada but will not work in the UK. Yale support confirmed Yale Home App will not work with this lock, only the American version which is not downloadable in the UK.

Overall the installation and hardware of the lock functions better than any other lock I have evaluated. Unfortunately this device does not function as advertised without the WiFi module. It simply will not integrate with Google Home, Smart Things or Home Assistant without the WiFi Module. Installing WiFi module means this device will call home and this is absolutely NOT SECURE in any shape or form. Should Yale/August decide to open up the Bluetooth to register to other devices this could be remedied. One can only hope that with the coming Matter module that Yale/August can realize their mistake and not lock this down to proprietary services that 'call home' . Very disappointed!
