The best neckband speaker out there
I originally bought a Monster Boomerang in 2021 and loved it. The sound is very good and I enjoy being able to listen to podcasts around the house without closing my ears off to the family. It's also nice to go jogging and listen while maintaining awareness. My original finally quit charging (I will say I'm disappointed the charging port only lasted 3 years), so I got a new one. The bluetooth range was horrendous!! I sent it back, hoping it wasn't the result of some new substandard part. Turns out it was just a fluke: the bluetooth on the replacement was better than the original. The updated version also fixed my biggest complaint: the volume increments were too big. I don't need much volume to listen to a podcast at home, so I usually kept it at level 2. But the difference between 1, 2 and 3 was a big jump. This is completely resolved in the new version. I can make subtle adjustments even at low levels. One quirk that still bugs me a little is that the startup volume is around the middle of the range, which is much too loud for me. I have to turn it down every time. Overall, I'd give it a 4.7 out of 5. Pros: Excellent battery life Good sound quality Comfortable and durable Solid bluetooth Sweat-proof Cons: Startup volume is too loud Charging port wore out before its time

Fantastic Neck speaker- A surprisingly nice alternative to headphones or earbuds
I have 5 different kinds of Bluetooth speakers/headsets. This is the one I LOVE most. The original purpose of buying this neck speaker is that I want to get rid of the discomfort and pressure of headphones and earbuds. I compared some brands like Sony, Panasonic, ENUOSUMA, Bluenin but finally bought the Monster Neck speaker, because I don't want to spend too much money to buy a speaker not suitable for me, also I don't want to buy a very cheap speaker with listening to the terrible sound. Affordable, Comfortable, and Durable are the 3 most points I care about. But if possible, brilliant sound quality will definitely make me excited. Hahaha The delivery is so fast, I received the package soon, the speakers came in very nice packaging, well made and feel really nice in my hands, I think It's really a great choice as a gift to send to my friends. Set up is so easy. Just turn on the neckband speaker and the Bluetooth then select "Monster Boomerang" from the list of Bluetooth devices to connect. A stupid easy connection. The sound quality is awesome! I like the deep bass, I have yet to experience any distortion/static issues. It is actually better than I was expecting, the immersive, Omnidirectional surround-sound quality audio that is FAR more comfortable than any headphones. I keep the volume just below halfway and get about 12-15 hours of battery. I always charge it before my sleep and use it daytime, only 1.5 hours can be fully charged, It totally meets my demands. Besides, It's very lightweight so I barely notice they’re even on. Great for watching movies on my kindle in bed as sometimes I find it hard to get comfortable with my headphones depending on how I lay. And I can still hear my surroundings even I am listening to music. I am considering wearing it when I am riding a bike. It looks good, feels good, sound amazing and I dig it! In my opinion, this neck speaker is definitely worth the money. The best choice for anyone who likes to listen to music, play games, watch movies, and for people with anxiety like me. For this price, you get amazing quality and sound.

Pretty good, some small issues
Bought these for apartment life, hoping to get good TV audio without traumatizing my neighbors. I originally purchased the slightly smaller version and I love it! Battery life is good, admitting that I only use it for a couple of hours a day. Connecting to Wi-Fi is pain-free and latency is as good as any in/on-ear audio I have. I also like the fact that the controls are intuitive: well-placed, and easy to identify by touch with clear raised markings. Its also surprisingly lightweight and comfortable; I’d expect them to be a bit heavier given the sound quality. Sadly, the larger (+ slightly more expensive) one misses the mark in almost every category. Sound quality is just as good. My use is a bit heavier - 3-4 hrs at a time - and battery life is fine so far. But that’s where the comparison falls apart: It consistently needs 2-3 attempts to connect to the TV (I get a partial connection which cycles in/out every second; put it back in pairing mode, back to the TV to search for devices, reconnect, rinse/repeat). It’s the exact same make & model as my other TV, so it shouldn’t be the transmitter firmware. It’s def bigger, but I don’t think it’s to accommodate better speakers. It’s just a thicker silicone casing which then causes new issues with the charging port (on the left inside edge of the collar). Because the silicone is so thick, it’s tricky getting the little cover out of the way, and truly impossible to see where the actual port is. There is always a degree of fiddling/wiggling the USB-C plug to sit down and connect. Another small inconvenience that probably won’t matter to most people: I love the universal magnetic charging cables, which would eliminate the awkward fiddling to recharge. But the port housing is so narrow and thick that it won’t allow the little USB-C magnetic adapter piece to sit down into the slot. I have a 1/2” long raised adapter for that kind of problem, but the adapter would be poking in the throat all the time. I’d have to plug/unplug THAT every time, which is the problem I’m trying to solve. Moving it to the top surface or outside back or side edge would solve it nicely, but they could just cut the port housing 1/32” bigger and solve the whole problem. I also think the controls aren’t as nicely placed and touch-intuitive as the other model. These aren’t major inconveniences. It’s a decent piece of gear. But generally, this model is bigger and heavier without adding significant benefit. I really wish I’d gotten another Petite instead of trying to be fancy.

GREAT speakers
I love this neck speaker! I used it for over 2 years with no problem. I only had to replace it because after years of use the power button broke. I could still use it by turning it on with a crochet hook but don't want to have to carry it all the time. The sound on this is great and the battery charge lasts several hours. I wear them at work and they easily last well over 8 hours. It paired with my phone very easily. Worth the money.

Pretty amazing, at first
Update 2: I just can’t get with the choppy connection when literally only walking a few feet from my phone. None of my other Bluetooth devices suck this bad and I don’t even think they are on “5.0” I have to take my phone everywhere which is especially annoying while trying to clean. I can barely walk across the room and the sound cuts out. It’s too annoying to forgive so I’m returning and would not recommend this item unless you are glued at the hip to your phone. Update 1: Have charged this unit twice over 2 separate days and noticed it never goes to 100%. At a full charge my phone shows the battery is only at 90% (pic 1). You lose about 10% an hour, music only at a moderate volume (pic 2). I have not taken calls on this so can’t speak to that yet. Even with the questionable charge, I have not had to charge this speaker mid day- it has gotten me through hrs of listening at multiple points of the day with no depletion of battery even at bed time, which is really late for me. The connection could be better. The sound goes out intermittently even when you are close to the device. Walking more than 15 ft away distorts playback grossly. Very surprising as none of my other BT devices are this weak. Star off for that. Well I just got mine so this is a hot take. This thing has great sound. I barely turned it up and was very impressed with sound quality and projection. It’s lightweight and easy to clean. It looks really good as well. At a volume level that is perfect for me, I took it off and held it arm’s length away and it was not loud at all, so someone would have to be in your personal space to really be “disturbed” by these. Here are some icks mentioned that I want to address- *the start up volume *it talks There’s no way to turn off the welcome/power off tone and voice, but here’s what you can do- just quickly press a button to interrupt her/it. That or you can smuggle the speaker under your arm til it’s over lol. I wouldn’t turn this on or off while wearing it cause it’s an annoying AUTO volume. Other than that, I plan to thoroughly enjoy mine.
