Compressor Works like a charm!
I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews on this compressor. I cant help but to think that most of the bad reviews are from inexperienced people working on automobile ac units. The ac system has to have the adequate amount of refrigerant oil and the right amount of refrigerant. The ac compressor comes with some oil. Depending on the parts of the ac unit that are changed before charging will determine how much oil to add back in the system. I’ve never done anything with an ac unit, but I also do extensive research before tackling any project. I changed out just about every part in my ac (including o rings) and charged it without any problems. This compressor works great, my air is 42 degrees F coming out the vents. My only question to this point is longevity. Only time will tell. Don’t let the bad reviews deter you. This compressor is cheap and works great.

Don’t buy this...here’s why...
Absolute nightmare. I work on air conditioning for refrigerators in hospitals so know the refrigeration system well. Apparently not well enough. My ac went out in my Honda Civic. Compressor had seized. I ordered this due to its great cost and the reviews. Installed and add R134. Worked great for 2 weeks then I lost my charge (a leak somewhere). Ended up replacing the condenser/drier evaporator and expansion valve over a 6 months period, As well as the obvious leak checks/tests etc. Changed all O rings and schrader valves. Still leaked. Ended up taking it to a shop and dropped $400 on dye testing and repairs. Ended up being the O rings do not seat well with this compressor on discharge and suction lines and kept leaking. Only when it ran it leak and so small it was very hard to find. Buying this compressor wasted my time and I ended up spending what I was originally quoted for a full compressor replacement. Stay away from this , like the other reviewer said. He had to go back and pay double. Don’t buy this crap. Waste of time. Spend the extra money.

If you've got a handy friend.....
Replaced my stock compressor with this, and it is working just fine and blowing cold air for me again. Its a bit tricky to replace on an 8th gen Civic- you'll need to remove the serpentine belt and take out the alternator.... ... But none of that is *too* difficult, and a buddy and I were able to do this job in 4-6 hours. A lot of sweat, sure, but way cheaper than paying a shop to do it. Car is now blowing cold air!

AC - pulley seized and the serpenting belt melted - left me stranded .
Product information is great and very professionally put together which is why I chose to buy the product. A few months have gone by after the successful installation and the pully seized. Tore the serpenting belt and left me stranded on the side of the road. I have reached out to the seller in hopes of getting a replacement - hoping this was a one off situation. At this time I cannot in good concious recommend this product. Had the car towed,

worked, but leaks on top bolt
Worked well. Only complaint was the gasket on the 17mm bolt on top of compressor, it was leaking. I had to use the old bolt.
