Husband was at his wits end trying to get our fish tank to stop turning green and murky. He tried just about every product he could find at the store in the fish tank to get the water to clear up and in the end this is the only thing that ended up working.

It works. It's a throwaway light, no user serviceable parts, but the price reflects this. They really should have thrown a shield in the box, obviously you can't use it with fish nearby, but it's too big to hide anywhere so I've got it in the return pump section of my sump and I had to put some plastic mesh around it to diffuse the light. If it kills my algae before it dies I'll be happy, if it survives 8 months I'll be thrilled. Plan to spend a lot more money for a unit with replaceable bulbs (that you can actually order and aren't proprietary.)

If you put it in the tank and can’t keep the fish from being exposed to the lake, then all your fish are gonna die

I bought 4 of these to go in my HOB filters. They have improved my water quality and reduced amount of water changes needed.

Assuming the light is the proper wavelength, it basically dissolves viruses and other small organisms. I had one and got nervous about it eventually failing, so bought another two.I use these along with chlorine dioxide to keep stored 'emergency' water potable.

Installed in the tank and the next day my fish were dead. Not happy about this at all.

I used to have 1 of these for my fish tank. Mine had a pump and covered uv light. This 1 is fully exposed and doesn't have a pump for the water I'm hoping that it will work for me. Was simple to setup because there was only the 1 piece. Staying hopeful.

This worked amazing. Within 2 days my aquarium water went from dark green to clear. I was skeptical at first.
