Really good well made product. I have no reason to dispute the spec that it has a maximum range of 150 feet so it should work down most gardens and into a property and even through a couple of rooms. It certainly does that for me. Battery seems to have plenty of life for an all day BBQ session. The battery tech appears very modern so should be good for years of use and loads and loads of cycles. If the battery eventually dies a tame electronics' guru could probably open it up and place it, I am sure it will be a standard unit. My only regret is I have started using a rotisserie a lot and obviously a probe on a cable isn't usable for that!
