I love love LOVE this thing!! Everyone should have one.
It feels and looks very solid, and high-quality. Works beautifully. Love that you can set the exact temp, wattage, and cook time (many ovens have timers, but it's hard to find a cooktop with one)! Wattage setting allows you to set it to 1500w when it's the only high-draw appliance on the circuit, to cook super fast, or 750w when sharing the circuit with other high-draw appliances. It's also BIG... Big enough to heat up a very large pot on it! Even if you have a perfectly-functional range with a non-induction cooktop already, I swear, everyone should have at least ONE of these induction cooktops! It makes cooking pretty much *everything*--including soups, cream-of-wheat, oatmeal, etc.--much easier, and more convenient, and foods just come out better... and keeping soups, sauces, etc., warm after they're done cooking works MUCH better, because you can set an exact temp (like, say, 150° F) too keep it warm, and not worry about it boiling/drying out.

It works amazingly well!
We bought this after testing an induction cooktop at a friend's house and let me tell you, this does not disappoint! We have absolutely loved this product. The temperature is exact and helps keep your food at just the right heat. It heats very quickly and I am so impressed with how fast I can boil a pot of water! It takes a minute to boil water instead of your normal 3-5 minutes on a ceramic of electric stove. It's even faster than a gas stove (which has been my preference after taking a culinary class). The size is perfect for a large Dutch oven or a 12" pan. We took it camping with us and oh my goodness! It completely changed how I will camp in the future. Making meals was a breeze and I loved being able to pull it out and cook so many different things anywhere. I will say that cooking outside with a breeze does make it loose heat quickly, but when using it inside we don't have this problem. The base is very stable. I used it on a normal countertop and also on outside picnic tables as well as on top of a plastic tote and it always felt great. It doesn't move or shift but stays put. I love that the bottom does not get hot so you can use it on many surfaces. When you turn it on, you can hear a distinct fan noise, but it isn't loud or overbearing. It's noticable but not distracting. I don't mind it at all. Clean up is a breeze and wipes down really well. Even butter and grease splashes wipe down pretty easily. Overall I am very pleased with this product and I would 10/10 recommend it.

Perfect for making salsa outdoors or searing a sous vide steak
I bought this Nuwave induction cooktop specifically to cook and roast chiles for making salsa, and it has been an absolute game-changer. Anyone who's ever roasted jalapeños, serranos, or chile de arbol knows how smoky and intense it can get indoors, and this cooktop solves that problem perfectly. The cooktop is lightweight and portable, so I can easily set it up on my patio or in my backyard. It heats up incredibly fast and offers precise temperature control, which is essential for getting that perfect char on the chiles without burning them. I've used it to roast everything from jalapeños and serranos to chile de guajillo, and it handles the job beautifully. The surface is also easy to wipe clean after all the mess. Beyond making salsa, I've also discovered that it's absolutely perfect for searing a sous vide steak or salmon outdoors. The high wattage settings provide a fantastic, even heat that gives a perfect crust in just a minute or two, without smoking up the house. If you're a salsa aficionado or a sous vide fan and want to keep the smoke and spicy air out of your kitchen, this Nuwave induction cooktop is an absolute must-have. It's powerful, easy to use, and incredibly effective. I highly recommend it!

Induction is the future
This burner is so great! I can cook out on my patio, avoiding any smelly or greasy stuff in the kitchen, the temp control is amazing, no guessing. If you want 350 or 360 or 150 you can set it. Shuts off after thirty minutes for safety unless you use the timed feature which I find a little tricky. Use iron or induction ready pans. I priced an induction setup for my kitchen and it’s still way too expensive, but this little guy for under $100 is a perfect start.

Quick and efficient
I really like how well this cooktop Cooks. I have a gas stove and the price of gas is being crazy so I use this to replace one burner or if I'm just going to warm one thing up and I find it works great. Use one of those magnets off your refrigerator on your pots before you try to use it on this because they do have to be magnetic and that can't be stressed enough. There's many pluses to this in the way it works and how efficient it is and the only real negative I can think of is that after about 40 or 45 minutes it will shut off. There's nothing in the instructions about this. It doesn't throw an error and I had two of them that do exactly that. So if you're going to simmer the soup or something like that you need to be aware of this. I guess the other negative would be. The fan is running the whole time and it can get a little noisy but I got used to that pretty quickly.

Great induction burner at a great price...
I've only used this induction burner a few times since its arrival, but that's enough to convince me of its worth. I'm a serious home chef who has learned the hard way just how important temperature control is with just about any kind of stovetop cooking, especially wok cooking. I've got a good gas stove, but it's still difficult for me to get precise temp control, so I monitor temps with an infrared thermometer. I still end up chasing my ideal temps by turning up/down the gas burners. That should be a thing of the past since I can now simply punch in any temp I want. I was amazed at how fast my carbon steel wok came up to smoking temperature before my last stir fry. Precise temp control is the one thing I've been missing in my cooking and I've ruined more dishes than I care to admit. Hopefully, those failures will now be a thing of the past. When I was shopping for an induction burner I noticed the larger the diameter of the magnetic surface the more expensive the burner. This one has a 7 inch active surface, which is definitely an upgrade. The bigger the surface the quicker the pan will heat up. The controls are intuitive and simple to use, so no worries there. The glass surface is shatter resistant, but I would still take care to be gentle. This is my first induction burner and I'm very glad I've taken the plunge into a new form of cooking technology.

A Great Single Burner for Cooking Outdoors
My husband was researching brands on single burners and I showed him this one and he liked the how strong the power it gave out. We recently had to replace our indoor stove’s Hood and when our old Hood came off, our installer said that our Hood was not meant to cook and sear meats. All the oily smoke had accumulated inside of the Hood and clogged the fan. This singe single burner cooktop is very well made and yes, it does take a few minutes for it to warm up and when it does, it’s great. It even has a Searing button to turn the heat higher.

Very safe to use
Excellent cooktop. Heats pan quickly and evenly. Boils water very fast. Only get hot where pan sits due to pan getting hot. Remove the pan and it shuts off. VERY SAFE.

Becareful of the voltage required.
The voltage required by the cooktop only works in specific regions of the world (it can only take a maximum of 144V). I had to return mine since my country has a line voltage of 230V.

Una maravilla
De las mejores compras que he hecho... y fue porque eché a perder la anterior al echar demasiadas papas en una olla y se salió todo el aceite.... Pero compré una idéntica porque es muy buena.

Nuwave PIC
I have had a Nuwave for years. It finally became unusable when the push buttons wore out. I can't be without one, and this one came promptly and in good order. I am rarely unhappy with anything I order from Amazon.

Not perfect but pretty good
I have used it a few times now. It works well, the fan is quieter than the one I had before ( a model from another brand, about 75% cheaper). I hate the sound of a fan but I am not aware of a model that does not have one. It stops as soon as you stop cooking ( the fan kept running a few minutes with my previous model). For low power ( simmer), the device sends the heat with ON / OFF cycles (you can hear very very subtle clicks) but the cycles are very fast and the heat is very stable on your plate . My previous device had a cycle of 10 sec and it was impossible to do any low heat cooking or to keep your plate warm. This part is great and it opens the door to more types of usage. I used my previous model only to get something boiling very fast since at low power, with those long cycles, it was not really usable. The model is a little bulky, large diameter and thick. I knew from the measurements but still it is not a small thing. The buttons are real push buttons (they are not touch buttons as it was said in a comparison table that I saw on Amazon -- these tables are full of mistakes very often). So, the buttons are push type (a little membrane, waterproof, that pops down when you press it). Frankly, they dont seem like they will last many years. Overall, so far I like it. Not perfect but a huge step above my previous model. The stability (not necessarily the precision) of the temperature is true and this is an important factor. In other words it holds very well its temperature but if it says 200, it just means warmer than 190 and that's fine with me.

It's okay
Temperature becomes inaccurate over time. The heat output is extremely different between 210 - 220
