Great product, Great Value
This is a DYI''er review sop pros be aware. These blades worked great for me. So much easier to get a smooth and well tapered surface than using smaller blades. I had a finishing trowel to get thr nud up in the wall and fairly smooth then a final light pass. Come with 3 blades: 12-,24-, and 36-inches. They are easy clean. The various sizes make them super flexible for projects big or small. I've seen similar sets for double and even triple the cost of this set.

Made compound so easy!
I am a general contractor and am currently remodeling a home. I have 1 name brand 16” skimming blade but decided to purchase this. At the price, it seemed like it was worth a shot. One blade had a slight bend in it when it arrived, I was able to bend it out by hand very easily. The blades don’t seem as robust as my name brand (yellow) one, but they have worked perfectly and I was able to skim a ceiling in about 15-20 minutes and it was amazing how easy it was. You definitely have to take care of them to prevent damage to the blades, but for the price, this set already paid for itself. Just watch some videos so you understand the consistency of mud, I use all purpose joint compound because it has more adhesive (add water and mix well to get it to the correct consistency) roll the mud on and clean up the edges with a small knife before swiping the larger skimming blades, this made a huge difference. They may not be as robust for everyday construction use, but for the price, I know I will get through an entire home remodel with these and it’s amazing how fast they make the compound look good! I gave it 4 stars because I know there are better (much more expensive) blades, but these are doing just fine and for the money, the cost of this set was the cost of a single blade from name brand. So the value couldn’t be beat.

Stupendous Value
A few weeks ago, our 1980 Southern California slab-floor house with copper plumbing sprang a leak for the fourth time since we bought it in 1998. This was the second time the hot water had leaked under the slab, not in the walls, once again putting our expensive flooring and cabinets at risk. We hired professionals to close off all the copper pipes and replace them with modern, expansion-type PEX routed through the attic and walls. Since this is a single-story, four-bedroom, 2½-bath house, they had to cut lots of holes—over 35—through the interior walls ("drywall" over 2x4 studs, typical of California tract homes). I'm a retired EE with a knack for fixing just about anything and a garage full of tools to prove it. The plumbing job was hard on my budget, so my wife suggested, "Let's DIY the walls and save a lot of money. We're not in a hurry." So, we decided to patch the holes with matching pieces of drywall, cover them with 38"-wide fiberglass drywall mesh, and have me "skim coat" everything. (I did this successfully in the kitchen four years ago when I replaced all the cabinets and countertops, and everyone compliments the work when they visit.) Back then, I didn’t even know skim-coating blades existed. I did it all with 14" putty knives—and way too much sanding! One reviewer claimed his set broke easily, but his photo showed what looked like a plastic end-piece for the pole. The set I received has cast metal end threads on the pole, not plastic, and the pole itself feels sturdy and easy to adjust. As a retired engineer, I’m not worried. (See photo.) I'm especially pleased to have three different blade widths. The edges came protected with sturdy, reusable covers. (See photo.) I’m no expert with plastering tools like this, so I can't judge whether the blades have the "right" flexibility. Mine measure 0.33 mm (0.013 inches) thick, according to my Mitutoyo digital calipers. All I know is that I'll be at least five times faster with these than I would be using putty knives. I’ll only use them once, but I highly recommend them!

It's alright. Could be better.
Good, bad and the ugly. The good, the handles are good quality and the case is a nice touch. Now the bad, blades are flimsy compared to what I'm use to. Edges needed to be stoned down. Sadly time for the ugly(picture related). The longest skimmer came with a bent edge, almost makes it useless.

Quality and price on point
Surprised at the quality and ease of application. I’m. DIY guy so they worked well during our renovation. Good price point. Next time I’d get the kit or a longer blade

Great for getting mud on the wall and for nicely feathered edges
These skimming blades have proven pretty revolutionary to my drywall work in two areas. 1) they are great for getting a lot of mud on the wall where you can work it without slopping it onto the floor. 2) great for creating wide, thin skim coats that really work for smoothing transitions and creating far less sanding in the end...always a good thing. They aren't cheap, but take care of them and I think you'll find the price well worth it in the end...at least I have.
