Good probiotic additive
I have been making yogurt at home for several years and using this product for the last year. This product has worked well and better than others we have used . I do use 2-3 packets per half gallon of milk.

Awesome Yogurt Starter, but Go Low and Slow for Best Results
I've been looking everywhere for a yogurt starter that yields a delicious, tart, and tangy yogurt. Wonderful flavor and so easy to use. To have more of the probiotic species, I cultured the yogurt at 98F for 14 hours, instead of the recommended higher temp for fewer hours. It yielded a very light and delicate yogurt similar with zero separation of the curds/whey. I then used a Greek yogurt strainer to thicken the yogurt and increase it's protein content. I used a half gallon of 0% fat, organic, lactose-free ultra-pasteurized milk, skipped the boiling process (woohoo!), and I whisked in 2 tbps of inulin along (to boost the probiotic species) along with 2 packets of Yogourmet Yogurt Starter with Probiotics into the cold milk. Note that following the directions and culturing this yogurt at a high temp for short period of time would yield a thicker yogurt more quickly, but as with any yogurt starter, it will yield more separation, less silkiness, and much less beneficial probiotics.

More powerful starter compared to other brands on Amazon
I've been making yogurt in my Instantpot with batch sizes of half milk gallons for years using a different brand of starter. Recently, my yogurt has not been setting up. There are lots of variables in making yogurt, so I tried different milk, tested the temps my Instantpot, etc. I tried this new Yogourmet brand, and everything is working great again. It is much more powerful compared to other brands. I only need a half packet of culture to get good results from a half gallon of milk. I have re-used the yogurt as a starter for a second batch, and it works great. I could probably do more batches from the starter, just have not tried it yet. So I am currently getting 4 batches of yogurt (each with a half gallon of milk) per packet. Glad I found this brand! I use NOT ULTRA PASTEURIZED (very important) whole milk (Clover for Bay Area people). I bring the milk up to slowly to180'F, then slowly let it come down to 110'F, then add culture, let it incubate overnight. Delicious! I started making my own yogurt mostly because I got tired of using so many big plastic containers. When I make my own, the cost is much less than half the price using milk instead of buying yogurt in a plastic container.

great taste, thin consistency
it works. I used as per instructions, got a very liquid yoghurt. The taste was sour which is what i was looking for ... but the consistency was very thin and runny, not as thick as i would expect. the result is potable, not something you would eat with a spoon, but the taste is nice. I had to strain it through coffee filters to get a better consistency that mimics Greek yoghurt. PS. the first batch i used one packet per liter of whole milk. the second batch i used about two cups of the results of the first batch as starter. In both instances i got the same consistency. I'll try fermenting at a higher temperature next time, say, 100F or 40C. PS. Several trials later: using two Tbsp of yoghurt from previous batch. Heated 2 lit milk to 45 ยฐC.=113ยฐF and kept it there for 13 hours using instant pot. Excellent result. Keep outside fridge for more tangy result

Proper fermentation for excellent consistent smoothness
Smooth consistent yogurt. First time making yogurt. Used the Pampered Chef Multi cooker on yogurt setting. Used 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract per 1 liter of store brand whole milk. Left it for 9.5 hours. Used a yogurt strainer in the refrigerator for 8 hours to set the yogurt and get the Greek yogurt consistency. It was so easy and good I hope to make a batch weekly. Too early to know any probiotics benefits.

SUCCESS RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE
I am thrilled with the results I got the first time making yogurt. I followed Bunny Girl's recipe in the reviews, and the finished product was thick, creamy and delicious. I am experimenting with sweetness and fruit, and we loved the fresh strawberry that I made this morning. I also made vanilla with cinnamon and sugar. It may be the best yogurt I have ever eaten. And, on top of it all, all those probiotics. Never did like spending all that money on supplements. Beyond happy. Making another batch, and this time, after the yogurt was done on the stove top, I placed the pot in a cool water bath and cooled it down in about half and hour, which saved allot of time. March 26th. I am making it again, only this time, I am using a full 2 quarts. The last batch I made was so delicious, flavored with orange zest, orange marmalade and sweetened condensed milk. The tang of the yogurt goes perfectly with the tartness of the orange. After I cool the yogurt overnight, I put it in a fine mesh strainer and let the whey drain out. The finished product is the consistency of soft serve ice cream. My picky husband and toughest critic when it comes to food is raving about this home made product.

Yay! We Have Affordable Vegan Greek Yogurt
So far so yummy! We have a hard time finding unsweetened, unflavored, vegan Greek yogurt until now!! Iโve only used 1 package and 1/2 of another to compare how they hold up if I measure by oz instead of just using the entire packet. So happy to have a plain, unflavored vegan Greek yogurt thatโs cost effective!!

Great starter
This starter makes great yogurt. In my yogurt maker, I like it best after 16 to 18 hours. I use a new packet every batch. Still good after only 9 hours.

Use your instant pot for yoghurt
I was going to buy a yoghurt maker and then discovered a yoghurt feature on my Insta pot. I purchased this yoghurt starter and it produced lovely creamy yoghurt with 2% milk. I use yoghurt in my bread recipe and it makes a very fluffy tasty product. I will certainly buy this particular starter again. I especially like it because it has probiotics in it. It is easy to use and the instructions are on the package.

It works very well
I made a delicious yaourt with this product. Instructions are easy and the result is amazing (the yaourt I made tastes exactly the same as commercial yaourt, if not better ...) I also made some mathematics and I can save money making my own yaourt.
