Theory of Music Workbook Grade 2

I am an adult learner - I had never studied music until this year. This book is just as good as I expected it to be - I already knew the format as I had previously bought the Grade 1 book. It is very well laid out, each section is very well explained and the book is very easy to work from and understand. Worth every penny. Very quick delivery as well.

Trinity Guildhall theory books are all fab - much less dusty than the ABRSM workbooks and full of useful, practical music theory. Clearly laid out, clearly described questions and clear descriptions of the theory needed for each level. You can use these books to begin preparation even if your pupils plan to end up sitting an ABRSM theory exam to match their practical qualifications - that's what I do because TG exams aren't available in our area.

...I do so wish they published a book of model answers. Would be invaluable for those learning on their own. It seems to be assumed that all learners are children, with teachers. But there are plenty of adults like me, learning on their own. I can't find any answer books for the past exam papers, either. They aren't much use without, unless you have a teacher.

These books are good and accessible. Put ABRSM to shame really. Easily followed, well explained. Kids are never riveted by this stuff but it's well set out and clearly explained.

I use these theory books for my students and find them very easy to understand, they also give examples for you to follow
