Awesome starter! Makes the yogurt super tangy which I like. My Greek yogurt turns out perfect every time.

I absolutely LOVE this yogurt starter! Works every single time and it makes smooth creamy yogurt! Never thought I’d be making my own every week but we do. I like controlling what goes into what we eat. I can use nonfat or 1% milk and add powder milk to get thicker results. PERFECT! Thank you!

After nearly a year or so of using this starter I have to say it is very good. Much better yogurt than what you get from the stores, particularly if you make the yogurt with 50% whole milk and 50% half & half, which eliminates the need to strain the water out of the yogurt.

WORKS WELL

Makes a very consistent thick yogurt with a slight bite. I love it. It took some work getting my recipe down figure it costs about $3.25 for a half gallon of yogurt. I use 4 x 1/3 cups Hoosiers whole powdered milk, so I boil water instead of milk, mix it in a blender, cool to 100F, add starter, run for 11 hours at around 95F. I use a half gallon mason jar for the mixing and 8 x 8 oz mason jars in a pot sitting on an electric oil filled radiant heater set on low.

This is a good yogurt in that it does the job, however, I am not a fan of the flavor. I normally make my yogurt using Fage plain Greek yogurt as my starter, and it produces a very smooth and natural yogurt flavor. (I do go the full 24 hours to ferment) This one has a slight tangy but way appears to be a “lemony” kind of flavor to it. If that’s your cup of tea then more power to you, but it’s not the flavor I was looking for. I will try their green packaged ones next (probiotic) and see if there’s a difference in flavor. It is convenient to have dried yogurt on hand for longer term storage, so that’s a plus, I’m just not a fan of the flavor.

I have ordered several times and have always been happy with the delivery and the product quality. I have never tried this starter with dairy milk, only with soy milk and almond milk. I have always had great results with 24 hours fermentation in quart jars wrapped in dish towel in the oven with the oven light on.

It did the work.. first time making a yogurt and it came out great.

I have had great success with this brand out of two batches. I've only had one failure and I think that was because of me so very happy with it. The flavour produces is nice. Crisp tart Greek yoghurt.

Made delicious yoghurt. i found instruction on the internet as, even with my glasses on and a magnifying glass, I had great difficulty reading the instructions on the sticker. I will buy again though.
