These washing machine hoses are excellent quality! The 4FT length is perfect for my setup and the burst-proof design with 3-layer PVC coated stainless steel gives me peace of mind. Installation was super easy with the universal fit. Much sturdier than my old hoses and I feel confident they'll last for years. Great value and highly recommend for anyone replacing their washing machine hoses!

These are the best hoses and the family owned small business behind them is the icing on the cake. I had a unique situation where I am an exisiting LG sidekick pedestal washer user, and was required to have all new hoses and connects for a washer dryer install ( as most big box retail appliance merchants require....including Costco. Well first hurdle was getting them to use my existing pedestals . ( Anything after 2009 are compatible with LG front load units, 2nd was to connect the mini washer and main washer and all the splitters and connects requires. In comes hippo hose, I emailed them and they emailed me back within an hour. I asked them specifics, as to make this work i need 3 cold lines 3 splitters and 2 hot lines per LG instruction on their sidekick videos on youtube. The best and most eco way to make this work was 3 steam lines, and 1 regular set of low profile hippo hoses 6ft, The hippo hoses are great with rubber 1st layer, stainless braid 2nd, layer, and pvc lined, 3rd layer for protection. Amazon had them to my house on Sunday when ordered on Friday. Install was all set for Monday. The only issue which was cosmetic only, was that one of the washers hot hoses were "blue" v red, in color and the 1 ft leader hoses which you need three of, were also blue in color. They are only included with the steam hose kits at this time. Maybe, just maybe with my suggestion hippohose will sell 12 inch leader hoses in red or as a LG sidekick fortified upgrade kit. LG sells the replacement kit for nearly 110 USD direct, and and is all rubber hoses, as well as plastic splitters, Very mediocre quality. These hoses are great and I was more than happy to support a small business who is so interactive with their customers and engaged in thier business.....which is hoses. I am not sure if these are hand made and machined, but i were guessing, they are. Highly recommended. As a customer of hippohose, i have peace of mind for 10 years, or so that my lines will be solid going to the washer and steam dryer connect. I kept the free hoses from Costco, and the vent kit included with my install for the purchases of my Washer Dryer being retired.

So, the best hoses will have 100% stainless end fittings. Finding such is about impossible. This set has one end with plated brass and the other end has non-plated insert. If you have hard water coming into your washer then the non-plated brass will likely corrode way faster then you expect. Stainless braided hoses are no better than quality rubber (EPDM) hoses. I bought this PVC wrapped SS braided set because it did get some good reviews, it has the 90 degree ends (which definitely helps to push washer closer to wall), and the pvc (plastic) wrap. Most washers have solenoid actuated water valves which turn on/off very fast ("hard"). This valve actuating causes the hoses to "bang" around, so to avoid additional noise the rubber or plastic wrapped hoses are better vs the exposed SS braided hoses. Because of the pvc wrap the hoses are stiff out of the bag, so I recommend you warm them prior to installation (hairdryer), and then will become very flexible and "lay" into position. Color coded hoses mean nothing when it comes to short water lines (if you mess up hot & cold with a 4ft line then perhaps this DIY is not for you :smiley:). I do use silicone (NSF rated) grease to lightly coat the male threads and the rubber hose washers, but do not over tighten, just a firm snug with pliers and you should be good. I replaced my OEM FSP hose set from 10yrs ago just as a safety measure. The old hoses were still in good shape, just a tad of sediment around the edges of the washers. I have soft water system so the old fittings were ok too. I cannot vouch for longevity, but not a 5 star because one end is not plated brass.

Great Quality – Just Know What You're Getting These hoses are durable, well-made, and easy to install. No leaks, solid fittings, and they feel like they'll last. Just a couple of things to be aware of: The “2-pack” means one red and one blue hose, not two full sets. If you need hoses for more than one machine, you’ll need to order more. The manufacturer does not recommend using these with screen filters, which could be important depending on your setup. Overall, great product—just read the fine print before you click “buy”!

These hoses are working very well for my washer. Having the 90° bend works perfectly for my needs. No issues with leaks or bursting. Color coding is nice.

Amazing quality hoses! The only thing missing to make them even better would be the OCTAGON Connections from the Steel hose version!

Just installed the Washing Machine Hoses Stainless Steel Braided Washer hose - 6 ft Burst Proof new hoses to my, just purchased, used washing machine. Altho I had the "old" hoses, I feel an ounce of prevention...is a good idea. Received hoses a day early, so...so far so good! Installed them last eve. Product feels very substantial. I love the color coding...one hose is blue and the other...yep, red. This hose has a 90 degree angle on one side of the fitting which makes it easy to snug the machine close to the wall. In the "test" run I did last eve, all worked well. Because of the feel of quality, I expect these will perform well. Oh, I spent the couple extra dollars because I live in a desert climate; up to 125 in the summer and the washer/dryer are in the garage. I'll update this if necessary, but am confident I made the right choice. PS: altho not this company's product, I also replaced the drain hose for the same logic. Thanks, C

Pay attention when handling the hoses, as some of the steel braiding material was protruding out in the area of the fitting on the end. Very sharp and cut my finger. Other wise product was good.

Not impressed my old cold hose didn't have a condensation problem the entire cold hose sweats.
