Reliable Performance - smallest SSD
I recently purchased the OEM Kioxia 256GB M.2 PCI-e NVME SSD Internal Solid State Drive with the intention of using it alongside a CFExpress Type B Adapter for my Nikon Z6ii camera. Initially, the SSD seemed to function well, offering ample storage capacity and swift data transfer speeds. However, I encountered some drawbacks during use, which led to uncertainty regarding the source of the issue – whether it stemmed from the CFExpress Adapter or the SSD itself. While the SSD appeared to be compatible with the adapter and the camera. The fast read and write speeds provided by the SSD were beneficial for capturing high-resolution images and videos without experiencing lag or delays. The OEM Kioxia 256GB M.2 PCI-e NVME SSD Internal Solid State Drive shows promise as a storage solution for cameras like the Nikon Z6ii when paired with a CFExpress Type B Adapter. However, potential compatibility issues and reliability concerns may warrant further investigation before committing to this setup. Maybe I needed to purchase a more reliable CFExpress Adapter.

This thing is amazing in the Steamdeck. Installation is about as easy as it can get and it speeds it up drastically compared to the 64gb emmc. Just a heads up though.. If you have a somewhat newer Steamdeck, your buttons and triggers will not work during the reinstallation of the os. The only thing that works is the touch screen. But, once you update the os, all of your buttons will work again. It was a sketchy 10 minutes or so after I put the thing back together and the buttons didn't work. So I wanted to give you all a heads up. I got this for $12.50 for the 256gb mainly to speed up boot times. It's probably the best $12.50 I ever spent and I'll probably upgrade to a bigger one when the prices come down a bit.
