I used these for my arborvitae last year and I was rather unimpressed. However this year they are THRIVING. I think you just fertilize for the next year as you do for other plants. They are so so happy and green and healthy. They are even producing some sort or berry or pinecone which I have never seen arborvitae do!

This sounds almost too good to be true. The city planted four elm trees of the same size in front of my house and my neighbor’s in October 2024. I plug two spikes under two of my trees, and 18 months later, both of them are about twice the trunk diameter and roughly 1.5 times taller than my neighbor’s. I also plug 2 under my new silver maple. The trunk also grew so fast that the bark cracked. I should have used one only.

1st time I have used the Miracle Grow branded tree spikes as I mostly use another brand, but these were on sale so I got a couple boxes. some of the spikes had cracks and broke while planting them even with the ground being softened. not all of them were like that, but I had to use a shovel to get the fertilizer in the ground when they broke. Past brands I never had that problem. I se a rubber mallet to drive them down into the soil and never had a problem. May have been a bad box or handled rough. I cannot say how good the results will be, but I am confident they will work great Miracle Grow makes great fertilizer that works very well. If I notice a real difference I will update this at a later time. 4 star was because the spikes having cracks in them they need to package them better to keep this from happening.

Very easy to use. Nice size, no odor and good value for the money. I like that you don’t have to measure and guess on the amount you need for your plants and Miracle is always a good brand for plants of any kind. Helps the flowers grow and bloom to a perfect size and color

I have bought this product over and over I believe in the quality of this product and effectiveness that helps my plants grow I believe every plant should have food to help grow

When I'm lazy I use these spikes. They are also safer than dumping granular fertilizer which can burn plant roots if you don't water it in well enough---I virtually never use granular anymore after killing two fruit trees. It is spikes or liquid that I can mix into water and then pour onto the root zone. (I usually error on the side of "too dilute" because of my plant PTSD.) These spikes just dissolve slowly with watering. I like everything MIracle-Gro, but I use a lot of other products, too---for my touchy plants.

No plastic protective cover provided, although shown. How can you pound these into the ground when they crumble with the first strike? The listing shows the usual plastic cap in the photo that protects the spikes for driving into the soil....but they're no longer included in the package. I had to create a hole in the soil to put the spikes in. Very annoying and a misleading posting. Three stars for the misleading listing. I'm sure...or hoping...the spikes actually are fertilizer. No longer trust this brand.

Good for garden flowers.

Great little kit for feeding my trees and plants. Food gets down to the roots rather than sitting in the soil. Will re: review after I see the/ any results but at this stage everything is looking good.

I have been using this product for years on all my evergreens and flowering trees in all the different climate areas of BC. Currently I have very healthy Juniper trees (60) in our hedge and will be using these sticks soon as we have had a long winter. Very easy to use.
