Globe Collection Small Globe - Gold

Looks very classy. A bit expensive though.

I like the look of this globe - it is very stylish from afar, but when you look closely it is slightly misaligned at the equator. This bugs me a bit. I was going to return but missed the window for return so have kept it. I'm growing to like it despite the misalignment - we have been adding dots of where we have visited - we used these which are perfect for the job:  900 Circles in 5 mm 50 Circles of Each Colour Adhesive Dot Stickers

Identical to the globe sold by John Lewis for considerably more money, this is a beautiful modernised version of the traditional globe, ideally suited to a modern home. The black and silver design is very easy to read and provides a very detailed overview of the world we live in (with hundreds of large cities marked). I have now added lots of tiny red 'micro-dots' to the globe surface to show everywhere I've visited over the past 40 years, and am totally delighted with the end result (even if it does then emphasise just how much of the world I haven't seen - yet!).

My husband was delighted with this globe, bought for Christmas. As other reviewers have said, it's a notch up on 'class' from all the other globes he has had over the years. The only ways in which he says it can be improved is to have the sea a shade of blue to distinguish it from the land masses and to illuminate it internally. Bearing in mind that this isn't a cheap globe, perhaps the manufacturers could give consideration to these possibilities in future models?

The 30cm globe was ordered Fri night and arrived Sun morning. It IS a full 30cm diameter globe which the site did not make clear and stands about 38cm from base to top of the chromed, double hinged frame. It looks excellent. A good gift for an adult or older child and will make a classy practical ornament. The information on the globe is legible and I am very pleased with it.

Lovely item, although wasn't expecting the red writing all over globe, this wasn't described at time of purchase ! Still nice though, hope our dad likes it as it's his birthday present ...

Looks really smart with decent detail and nice finish.Item came really well packaged and a day early via ROYAL MAIL PARCELFORCE, only drawback is the instructions say do not place in direct sunlight which is a pain because it limits its placement but not the end of the world (no pun intended).
