Which is better for sewing with monofilament nylon thread on batik for fusible appliqué, this size needle or70?

I use a Microtex sharp size 70/10 for sewing with monofilament thread and I loosed the top tension on my sewing machine by 1 whole number. I don't use nylon thread but i do use polyester monofilament thread.

Is this good for sewing on vinyl or faux leather?

I would say the 90 but you can also go online and find a chart that tells which needle is best for what you are sewing. That way you can decide based on what you are sewing.
