Ball Gouge

I did a rustic bowl with the ARBORTECH Ball Gouge it taken me 1 hour for a large bowl to take out the wood inside the bowl if I did by hand taken me 5 hours plus if you buy one you will not regret it its well worth the money it will save you time I'm now buying all of the ARBORTECH tool's now I love the ARBORTECH Ball Gouge fantastic piece of equipment for the angle grinder

I hesitated for too long buying one of these. So long as the user knows the basics regarding wood grain, this tool is excellent - like any cutting tool it will slice when the grain is approached in the right direction and tear wood otherwise - in no way a fault of the tool, just the nature of working with wood. The quality is first class, the cutting ring is replaceable, holds a good edge and cuts beautifully. The spindle length is long enough to allow the tool to access tricky areas while being short enough to retain confident control of the tool. I’ve used this on a good battery grinder and also a corded one. The battery one works well (mine runs at around 8600 rpm) but I prefer the additional 3000 rpm offered by the corded model as it allows the tool to flow better through the wood. I can’t really fault this gouge, in fact I am so impressed with it that after 5 minutes use I ordered the smaller one also to give me more options. Well done Arbortech, this is a stellar product.

This is a wonderful power carver. I have other Arbortech products and absolutely love this piece of kit. I have used it for concave carving, small details and most recently for texturing. It complements the turboplane. Worth every penny...

Expensive but the cheaper ones have very poor reviews. I tried this only once so far and it's a learning curve that I'm still climbing.

Great little tool for the hobbyist and professional woodworker/wood carver alike.fits most angle grinders and is easy to use and after a little practice enables you to achieve a smooth finish in spoons and bowls

Bought this along with an arbortech small machine and it works great. eay to control whilst it clears the material quickly.

Brought this for my wife for spoon making and it proved to be excellent... A great little power gouge would recommend...

Tool works well only when used slowly......do not expect to shift wood rapidly

I bought this gouge to help in the wooden spoon making process and WOW! This thing was out of the box and throwing wood shavings within minutes. Definitely makes the process much easier than a knife. Now, I feel it's a little on the expensive side, but when you have a one of a kind quality product, I guess you can do that. They claim that it doesn't grab, but I did have some slight tugs while carving some curly maple. It could have been the wood, but honestly, it wasn't bad enough to cause me to lose control of what I was doing. Fantastic product!

War am Anfang skeptisch ob und wie gut es Funktioniert Preis doch hoch, nach ein paar Stunden arbeiten mit dem Fräser bekommt man es ganz gut hin gleichmäßige und genaue Konturen zu fräsen, etwas Geschick und Gefühl benötigt man aber schon dafür. Qualität Top, Schneide Top (auch nach 5-6h Hartholz Nuss Fräsen noch sehr scharf) Super einfach in der Handhabung, Kann man nur Empfehlen! Tipp einen Besen sollte man gleich mit bestellen.
