I like this series a lot. I enjoy it because it is one of the very first BL I've read where the characters are actually honest about their feelings, especially the 35 year old gangster, I find it very refreshing that he's not acting like an idiot about his feelings for the young guy. He recognized the feelings, he processes them and he acted on them, there was no wishy washy overly dramatic overreacting, just "hey I think I like this person, even though he's a guy, so I'm gonna go for it!" That's so new in these types of stories! And I love how the young guy is open about his sexuality, he doesn't go around apologizing for it, he's discreet, but he's not apologizing for anything, and I especially LOVE how he's patient and kind, but he recognizes pieces of s...when he sees them. That was awesome. I'm really enjoying this, it is hot, it is sexy and it is refreshingly honest. Can't wait for the next volume !

I’ve already read the entirety of The Dangerous convenience store (it’s in my top 3 all time favorite stories!) and I’m slowly collecting the physical copies. Man, reading the physical copies is SO nice. The colors are beautiful, the texture, seeing Ahjuicy up close 😩🧡 highly recommend

I first read this as a webtoon, and the translation is very different. It's hard to say if it's better or worse, though. I think the webtoon portrays Gunwoo as slightly more tender? It's weird that one of my absolute favorite parts in the online version is when we get a glimpse into his inner thoughts (bonus chapter/side story) and he thinks that Eui-joon's forehead is lovely. He actually uses the word lovely. 💖 The art is the same in the book at that part, but his thought isn't nearly as sweet. Also, the "lovely" part is a nice bookend to when they have dinner together in the main story and Gunwoo says Eui-joon looked good with short hair. Although now that I think about it, I remember thinking "when the heck did you see him with short hair?" In the other translation he says something like, "I was just thinking you'd look good with short hair too." The spice! OMG. So much more! Wasn't expecting it but was definitely into it. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Can't say I was a fan of Gunwoo calling Eui-joon "whiny" and a "b!tch" while doing the deed though. I know he's a gangster and all but geez. The art is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm so glad that the book is on my shelf now. Plus the Korean honorifics are a bit more accurate and that made my Korean half happy. Online Eui-joon called him "Mister," which took some getting used to. "Ahjushi" (I don't think that's how they spell it but that's how I pronounce it) felt more natural to me. And they definitely have the same amount of physical and emotional chemistry so far. So I guess I wouldn't say that it's a bad translation overall. Just different, you know? And that had it's fun points too when I read something I wasn't expecting.

If you’re into sweet stories and also are not so sweet you’ll enjoy this. The characters only get more interesting as the volumes go by and I’m getting more attached.

I love this series so much. Eui-Joon is precious and needs to be protected. He also needs to pick better boyfriends. Eui-Joon just needs someone to love him. Gunwoo is great too. I mean meeting Eui-Joon he got to see a different world.

Artwork is beautiful, the romance is swoonworthy. I just need the final one to complete the set.

Mantém a mesma qualidade da primeira edição. A Seven Seas faz um bom trabalho, pelas edições que comprei deles. É censurado, vale dizer. E aqui na Amazon ocasionalmente os volumes somem completamente sem deixar rastros, então se preferir comprar esse no lugar da edição da Newpop, vale dizer que há chance de ficar faltando algum volume (estou sem o volume 3 e esperando, infelizmente).

The volume where we learn more about Ahjussi and his job & why at his age (37) is he suddenly having feelings for a man & a 25y old at that. And cha Chaehyung through not seen yet, finally enters the story
