Fresh Baked Bread Flavor Extract (1 oz, ZIN: 529189) - 3 Pack

This is a pretty unusual product TBH. I got it to add to my banana coffee to make it taste like banana bread. It does an ok job at that. Only a drop or two is needed as it’s a tiny bottle of extremely concentrated extract. I have no idea how they extract bread flavoring and I’m not sure I want to know, but I’m glad it exists! It smells kind of like cinnamon but definitely tastes bread-y. I put maybe 5 drops in my coffee the first time and I could still taste it in my mouth an hour after I finished my coffee lol

It’s kind of bready but it’s definitely sweet and artificial smelling. It’s also strong. I’d say start with 1/4 tsp and work from there. That said, I’m gluten free and was hoping to fool myself (I miss the flavor of toasted wheat) that this extract could do it. It did not.

1 gram of carbs per teaspoon!!?? No thanks. It's unclear what ingredient would result in carbs.

I did like this flavor a lot, I used a big amount the first time I did not know how strong it would be in the marinated Salmon I was making. The taste at the end was better than I thought it would be. I would buy again. It does taste like baked bread. I would like it to be a artificial food flavoring, though. I had only my self to ask in the choice of words I used, thank you.
