It actually DOES come with the snare stand, but not the hi hat or bass pedal

Can you add more triggers Cymbals or drums to the brain?

Yes, you can if you use a splitter. One end o Would go to an existing drum or cymbal and the other end would go to the add on drum or cymbal. I’m currently doing this and it works well.

Many users stating if you play open or closed on midi it will make the same sound (midi sends 1 hi hate note). is this true or user error?

I have had no issues between open and closed, in settings you can change tones open closed, and the closed foot hit.
