Big Shot Starter Kit

I have had many Sizzix big shot machines over the last 25 years. They get pounded from the amount of work I put them through. Sadly my Stacey parks machine, an older model, died after 5 months when the handle nut snapped when it was being tightened. Devastated and attempting a mounting of Christmas cards I searched and found this model, with the new restyled handle, which doesn’t require a nut to attach it as it has a quick release button for ease of storage. Over all it has performed well my only complaint, having had to lift my past machines on and off the work counter, there is no top “handle” for lifting. You just have to grip the rather wide top of the machine or grip under the machine to move it. The embossing folder and the dies that come with this set, especially the shadowed alphabet, are a perfect addition. I know it’s early days but I would recommend this machine.

Very good quality and easy to use, cuts really well . Not compact, no noise as manual but I find it ideal as I’m just starting out on my crafting journey

my daughter brought me this for christmas I love it. just sits on my desk for when I want to use it not like the sizzix big shot plus. to big to get out plates are to price. sizzix big shot get full 5 stars. the handle is so much better. works like a dream.

Just received my parcel which was a sizzix machine and the starter kit is missing what do I do know

Very nice machine. The streamlined redesign and tuck-away handle looks modern and makes it easier to stow the machine when not in use. The extras in the kit are handy too, even though I already had the embossing folder and some of the dies. Within minutes of unboxing I was running it through its paces. Operates smoothly. Cut multiple dies easily, embossing folders worked well with the correct sandwich, and embossing with dies (using the separately available silicone rubber and impressions pads) also provided very good results. Finally, I set it up to cut some very intricate dies with a metal precision cutting plate and once again I was pleased with the results. Very happy with this purchase from a trusted, reliable brand.

I have wanted an embossing machine for some time and this one is just perfect for cards. It has great directions on each piece for die cutting and embossing. The machine is a little heavy, but could easily be carried when traveling. It comes Sith very nice card stock and I am using it to practice. One note that I can say - not all embossing folders are equal so I have to use a shim on non name brand folders. This certainly is not a fault of the machine but folders must have different widths. A great machine for the crafter who enjoys giving a little more pizazz to their projects.
