I did not use this for the intended purpose, I have 3 lights that hang over the kitchen bar area, the glass was disgusting, I found new ones at Lowes by chance however when I tried to hang them the hole on top was to big for the inside screw on, these spacers where the perfect size after cutting off the 3 ears on them.For me they were modified and worked perfect.

Bought a lamp base plus a separate shade. The shade did not fit the base. The adaptor rings worked perfectly and resolved the problem.Simple solution at a good price.

Kind of misleading as it states they will fit over a desk lamp and they are too small, useless for what I need but sure for a smaller lamp they will be ok.
