Personally I use, both, depending on the conditions. A trick is to use a different color thread as a hot spot to distinguish between tungsten and brass bead flies in your fly box. Easy to see the difference when you compare with "cheap" brass beads. Bead colors available: Gold, Silver, Black Nickel, Copper. Bead sizes available: 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.4 mm, 2.8 mm, 3.2 mm.
