Educational Psychology: Theory and Practice (10th Edition)

This is the best textbook I have ever read. In fact, it's the first textbook that I have ever read cover to cover. There is a plethora of excellent information throughout this book with direction on where to learn more. My favorite sections are the Practice into Theory throughout each chapter and the Intentional Teacher located at the end of each chapter. The only section that could use an update is the technology section, but since technology is continually evolving I don't hold this against the publisher or author terribly much.

Glad I was required to take this course for my degree. This book includes what the title indicates and is a valuable tool for anyone in education. It also would be a good book for parents because of the stages that kids go through is explained..

I normally buy new books, so this is a new venture for me. This book arrived fairly quickly and I really appreciate that. However, it does bother me that there are highlights and dog-eared pages. This worries me because I don't want to be charged for something I did not do. I've never been one to highlight a book so I really don't like receiving a book that has so many. I do understand that comes along with the decision to rent a book but I was hoping for a newer one. This is the second time I've had to have this book for a different class so I did not feel like buying it again. I chose to rent it. I do not regret it but I doubt I will ever rent a book again. The book is an easy read for the most part.

I highly recommend this textbook. I am taking Educational Psychology and this has helped and reinforced concepts I have studied in Child Development and General Psychology.Up to date information - easy to read and understand.Outlined nicely. Will use throughout school as a reference guide.

The text is rich with information, applications, examples and links to other sources of information. The format reminds me a bit of the colorful and text-box-based layout of K-12 texts. The early chapters are rich with research results, and there is information from studies as recent as the last couple of years. However, I bought this edition, thinking that it would be more or less the same as the ninth. A few chapters are rearranged in this edition, though as best as I can tell, the content is the same. Though my text is being used in graduate school, it seems a bit more appropriate for undergraduate studies.

the book came timely, brand new but don't like that it is loose leaf. However, is a very important book. I placed it in a 3 ring binder as soon as i opened it. works great.

This is probably the best textbook I have had in both my grad and undergrad course work. This is one I may keep as I find it to b e very useful.

This textbook is extremely informative and will become part of my library for education. Very useful whether you are studying to become a teacher or just want to understand how your own children learn.
