Nice to have - But a crushed box
Grateful to have this brand new set of paddles & game cartridge … but it was sent in an oversized shipping box ( and arrived crushed ) . As a collector , really bummed . As a daily Atari 2600/7800 player , still glad to have & use ! Hope this helps !

Don't forget to set picture mode to game!!
I'm really impressed with these, I can't say I remember what the original paddles felt like new, but they couldn't have been much better than this. I tried them on a retron 77 and my 2 original consoles, a 4 switch and a "Jr" and they feel great compared to my 40 year old paddles. Short of using a time machine you can't get better! Just remember to set the TV picture to game mode, it's even more important with the paddle games since they can be much faster than most joystick games.

Dip switches?
I thought this is cool to have a few games on one cartridge. Little did I know that each game you play, you have to use dip switches in order to play the game. For those wondering what this is, these are tiny switches that you slide up or down in order to make a product work the way you want. I run a DJ business and a couple of older lights use these instead of DMX or electronic menu settings. On the game for examble, you flip one switch up and 3 down for one game. You slip another 3 down and one up for another game (example). I've onlt played a couple of games and thought this is BS to have to do this for each game. I know Atari games are older and basic, but a menu on the cartridge would of been nice like newer systems. I'm sure they could find a way to do it. If you only play one game on this cartrdge all the time, it's not bad. Game play is very good and games are like originals. i have not played with paddles yet. This set is still worth buying if you can deal with switches for game play.

Just like the originals!
These paddles are just like the originals. They most definitely do not feel cheap. The rotation is smooth, with just the right amount of resistance. The games are just like the originals too. I really like the multi-game cartridges with the dip switches. I hope they release more of them in the future.

Great paddles
These paddles are a great addition to my collection the only thing I would tell people to be aware of is if you play with the pedals more aggressively the paddle will become loose and it might look like the paddles have Jitter but it's just loose and it's an easy fix

Can't stop playing this must have for Atari fans.
I got this when I purchased the Atari +, glad I did. It can be a bit of a nuisances using the dip switches to select the games, but other than that if you like Atri you will like this.

Classic look and construction.
I like this classic retro Atari kit. The price is fair. Amazon delivered very quickly. No crushed box. That’s very important to a collector.

A bit pricey, but simplistic fun
The highlights of this package is Canyon bomber and the surprise of the set Video Olympics. Canyon bomber was a game I was delighted to play 40+ years ago, and is still a treat, but Video Olympics was a surprising blast. In function, it's just Pong, but they apply the soccer, hockey, basketball theme and have their own nuance. The cable could have been longer for this time and day of wireless (I get the nostalgia angle, but the longer cable would have taken this to 5 stars) Definitely not for those whom need 'sensory overload', this is just simple fun against a friend or two

I love these new paddles. They work on the 2600+ as well as original Atari hardware including the 7800 homebrew, Super Circus, which is an updated version of Circus Atari. The new paddles have more resistance and don't turn quite as easily as original paddles, but they also won't be jittery. These are perfect for games such as Kaboom, Cirus Atari, Night Driver or Encounter at L-5. Even if you don't plan to buy a 2600+ you should consider the paddle set for the original hardware. Highly recommended.

I bought an Atari 2600+ last month once they became available in Canada. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a faithful reincarnation of the game console of my youth. I decided I needed the paddles set to go along with it. I waited and waited for them to become available as well. As luck would have it one set became available for the low price of CDN$31.20. The description said the item included the 4in1 game and set of paddles but no box. The purchase arrived today and, lo and behold, the original carton was included after all. I remember playing Breakout and Night Driver on my original Atari but not the other two. The paddles look, but don't quite feel, right. They don't have the same heavy solid plastic feel of the 1980 version. The games were fun to play and even attracted the attention of my 12 and 14 year olds. If you bought the Atari 2600+ and enjoyed it then you really should buy this as well.

Pros * Tight paddle control unlike the loose feel of the originals * Longer cable (58" versus 46" of the old cables) * 4 Paddle Games Included on 1 multi-cart: Video Olympics, Night Driver, Canyon Comber and Breakout * Video Olympics supports 4 player games IF you have 2 sets of paddles (4 in total) Cons * No Super Breakout, Circus Atari or Warlords (or any other third party paddle games) - packing these other games with another set of paddles would have been a great idea as I want 4 paddles but NOT two of the same multi-cart As an original Atari fan from the 70s who STILL thinks Pong is one of the purest video game creations of all time, these newly updated Atari Paddles are incredible. See video for games that are included and a couple that are sadly not included. If you've ever experienced paddle "jitter" where the classic paddles shake and vibrate onscreen, making precision impossible, you'll want these paddles. Atari has included a longer cable as well which is extremely helpful. The multi-cart game select functions on dipswitches on the back of the cart, which is kind of retro and I like it, but I missed them originally and was confused on how to change the games. Aside from being disappointed the multi-cart didn't have more paddle games, I'm honestly just pleased and surprised that new and improved paddles for the Atari 2600 exist in 2023. Highly Recommended!

Unless you know how to fix the “jitters” that are found in old second-hand original paddles, these are a terrific alternative. They work well with the Atari 2600+ or original Atari consoles. The only thing preventing a 5 star review is that the cart doesn’t include an A+ game like Warlords or Super Breakout.
