Since this blade is using 1055 carbon steel, does that mean it has better flexibility but reduced strangth when comparing to regular 1065 and 1095?

1055 steel, is ideal for swords, because of edge holding ability, 1095 steel is more brittle, 1055 steel has a better impact resistance also.

Does this katana 36 in. Sword come with the case or carrying case so I don't cut my hand

Is this katana full tang?

Yes, this katana has a full tang. The blade is made of 1055 carbon steel, and it is tempered to a rockwell 60. It weighs 37.1oz (~2.3lbs). The only problem I've had with mine is the brass fitting (habaki) that holds the katana in the scabbard (saya), but that's probably just wear and tear, as I've drawn it a couple thousand times (literally). My katana will just fall out of the scabbard if I hold it upside down though. Last thing, it's decievingly heavy for its size.Edit: I have to agree with Sean Smyth, I have a ronin as well, although I do like this sword for the blade length. The saya for my ronin is a piece of **** though.
