Unlatches hood
Pleased with the performance thus far. Just installed last evening. Had to grind down the diameter of the factory nut with washer because the area where the bolt comes through to attach to vehicle was too small. The pictures show original damaged latch on left and new one on right.

Installed on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado WT. Great price for an old vehicle; previous release latch broke at the plastic pivot point. This one fit well save for the 10mm nut was harder to get into its spot because the plastic around was a tiny bit narrower - I did manage to install the same factory nut with no modifications. The white print does look a little fuzzy and that it may wear off faster than others - again price is good and I know what that latch does. Time will tell how long this lasts.
