You never know when you need an insane solution to a motherboard’s short comings.

I plugged this into a PCIe slot, and it fried my motherboard immediately. Also the PCIe slot itself is unbelievably poorly constructed.

Very useful card and works as expected. I used a riser cable to mount this card above my CPU cooler. Be careful with the SATA power connectors: the mounts are not soldered or well secured, so it is really easy to break them off. I used two layers of glue to carefully secure them in place and that helped the rigidity a lot.

Horrendous quality. I unplugged it one time from the sata, gently. It broke day one.
