I have a 40amp solar controller and 2- 235 solar panel, would this work as a breaker between the two?

I'm not an expert electrician, but assuming the panel produces 2x235 watts, at 12 volts it would produce a max of 39 amps while the breaker is rated at 32 amps

Can i use 8awg wire on this switch?

The standard solar connectors generally only accept wire up to 10awg. I verified that from experience.

if i have 3 100 watt panels and 12v battery would this suffice to work to cut off the solar if i work on my battery?

It should. I am planning on 400 watts on my system and bought this device. As I recall the other comments said this would work on a system similar to my wattage. I have not installed my panels, however, so maybe someone else will confirm.
