Q: the base if the draws are 17" - 18" in width... would tbese fit? Thanks in advance!

Yes they will fit as the straps are longer than 18" they are more than enough long

Q: Are they suitable/ long enough for bed drawers?

Yes they are perfectly suitable. I repaired my own divan bed drawers when I moved house a few years. If you buy from us GADGET PLANET please drop us a message and we will send you extra strap as bed drawers are usually much larger than normal drawers. Thank you.

Q: I have snap my drawe bottom not to bad i think but would this still hold in place?

As long as you have all pieces, and they are intact, you will need to glue them back together. The straps should then reinforce the whole structure of the drawer. The straps have worked well for me and are still in situ.

No it only pulls the sides inwards
