Buy The Book of Knowledge: Book 1 of The Revival of the Religious Sciences (The Fons Vitae Al-Ghazali Series) by Al-Ghazali, Abu Hamid, Honerkamp, Kenneth (ISBN: 9781941610152) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Beautiful - Beautiful read and not yet finished but can't wait it's super fun. Review: Three Stars Due to Inadequate Translation - This is the most important book in Ghazali โs Revival of the Religious Sciences. I am one quarter through and I am finding it really interesting but it is apparent to me that the translator is imposing a certain reading onto the text. His various use of parenthesis gives a glimpse of the distortion of the text and hides multiple meanings for those not aware of Sufi thought. I might be wrong of course but my understanding is that the translator exhibits (as can be deduced by his interpretation) characteristics akin to the very ones criticised by Ghazali in the book!
