Seems of good quality, unfortunately I don't have any specimens for testing the calibrations.

What else can I say. It works, got the same reading as my other counter on my uranium glass set, it clicks for particles but it can be turned off in settings. It seems durable and user friendly. Not bad for its price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I liked this after review several in the similar price range because it looked easy to use and had better ratings. I also liked the pc interface capability. Unfortunately, there was no info in the box for this and after googling awhile for a possible software to download, I've given up. It would get a 5-star except for that but that's major, I'd think. If anyone has an app or website on this I would appreciate it. Thank you. Well-made product and so easy to use.

Everyone should have at least one guy your ginger counter at home. Cause you never know. Tested at the smoke detector and seems to work.

Quick charging and easy to use with abelt clip included. It’s durable as I already dropped it once and its still functions. Good instructions with visual aids.

I regret buying this. It's too complicated to use, and there are no detailed or proper instructions on how to use it. It's a waste of money, totally useless

I was looking for a detector that would let me know if antique glassware was radioactive. This detector does everything. Very impressed with all it's features. It is so much more than I was expecting.

Fun, low cost, seems to work fine for fiestaware, but I haven’t tested it against a calibrated source.

I purchased this on August of 2024 and the manufacture date on the unit shows May 2024. It's a very recent production unit. First thing you notice when you open up the unit is that it uses machine screws and threaded inserts instead of self tapping screws. Most people would not notice this let alone open up the unit. It's a very good indicator of quality. Next, you'll see the Geiger muller tube. It is a J321 tube which is as high quality as you can get within the affordable range. The tube itself is also manufactured in 2024 as indicated by the print on the tube. Next you'll notice that the solder points on the PCB are quite clean and the components are positioned well. The tube itself is snapped into a clip on the board but you'll also notice some solder on the clips themselves so there is no concern of the tube coming loose when jostled. The plastics are light while feeling well made. There are no sharp edges and they line up quite well. It's not a heavy unit but it's built well. The USB port has a rubber cover that keeps dust out. The only issue I can see is that the back of the unit has open vent holes next to the tube. This is probably to help increase the sensitivity to beta radiation but can be an issue if radioactive dust/dirt get in and settles around the tube causing it to read high constantly. Data logging through the USB port is apparently available but I have not tested it. The screen is of good quality and gets the job done with clear text. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. In terms of features, it includes the signature clicks that everyone wants to hear, audible alarm, LED indicator, and even a haptic vibration motor to alert you if your environment exceeds your customizable dose rate threshold and total dose threshold. It also has a graph that shows dose rate over the last 3 minutes. Overall, very pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of this unit.

I'm sure this is an excellent product for the price but i had difficulty understanding the readout and user interface to the point where I sent it back for a simpler version

I wanted a radiation detector since a while, found this very affordable, seams to work well, good quality build, went to their website and chat support is 24h, they gave me a link to download driver and software, click on Personal Radiation Dose Management System from the download page, its in a zip, I posted screenshots so you can see the link on top of the page, you can set screen timer with the windows app, for the driver, run CH341SerSetup from the zip then run PRDMS V1.0 to install the app, now you can set a laptop to record the data while charging the device while travelling around and get alerted if you are exposed to radiations:D
